Just bought a S&W 1911 Railed used and noticed a wavy wearing pattern on it when I bought it. Haven't fired it just yet because this was just yesterday. The price was STUPID good and I knew that the "Lifetime Warranty" should cover any mechanical issues. The gun is stock and has an unknown round...
Thanks red line that was exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. Some thing approaching 2" @25 yards would be ideal. I know that the trigger must be it then.
Hey there I have a concern about a gun that I have going in for some custom upgrades.
I have a Springfield "Loaded" Champion that I plan on having the slide Melonited. Among other things I also am curious as to the potential accuracy of the barrel, as the gun shoots good, but not as good as...
Here's the Gun I'm Trying to Tribute!
I do appreciate the advice in regards to the Fusion. But I'm using the Colt because it's kind of a tribute of sorts of a certain 1911 and the gun was specifically a Series 70 with a pony on the slide.
When I referred to wear in my talking points I...
Hey everyone, I was curious for a project that I have coming up. I'm buying a Series 70 in carbon steel soon with an end in mind of a two-tone flavor.
This is going to be a high end project that will be of heirloom mindset. There are so many options that I can't really find what is the best...
I was curious if I could mount a fullsize or commander size slide on my Stainless Loaded Champion. I would prefer to put a 5" Carbon slide because I like the look and would prefer a bushing barrel. I am aware that it would most likely cost as much as a new gun. But I am planning on starting a...
Yeah I think the hand had fallen down in the slot that it rides in and would scratch the back of the cartridges. It wasn't the primer's backing out because the rounds would scratch before even being fired.
Yeah, I did do that and it didn't solve the issue. I remember aggressively scrubbing and to no avail.
I just don't understand why the caliber is not specified. I figure that would be illegal or something. Not that I'm the whiner type. Even old military guns are labeled as such.
Last year, I found a LNIB model 65 at a local pawnshop. My wife noticed how much I oggled it and later went back and bought it for me. Well, I ended up shooting about 150 .38spc reloads that I made up for it and called it good. I took it out one day with .357 magnum and went to fire when I...
I was just thinking about the different categories of must have handguns. What's your idea of the ultimate incarnation to you, in each respective category. This has been done before. Just trying to get them all together in one. These categories should cover every application, so you can go off...
Well, I really appreciate everything that you guys gave me advice on. Hopefully, I can have a great experience. You are right about learning German. My wife and I have been spending a lot of time on Duollingo learning as much as possible.
