Just picked up a Gen4 G22 along with everything I need to reload 40S&W on my 550b. Magwell, +5 floor plates, sights and trigger kit are on there way. It should turn out to be a great limited gun.
I also use the Speer, Lyman, and Hornady. I look at all three and compair the data. I bought a reloaders book to write everything down in. The book also came with a bunch of targets. When I am working up a load I use those targets and put them in the binder with the load info.
Like already posted. I have found with my G17 if I step back 2 steps most of my brass bouces behind me. There is one lane I have found where to stand and where to put my shooting bag. About 50% of my brass bounces off the wall and into my open shooting bag.
I have a RCBS tumbler. I buy my corn media in a 3# bag. I dump the whole bag in the tumbler. Fill it up the rest of the way with brass, right to the top. I check it at about 3 hours, if the brass isn't clean to my liking then I check it every hour after that.
An update. I sent Dillon an email last night explaining what happened and how I thought it may have happened. I got a response from them today. In the email they asked that I call them, they had some more questions and thought it would be easier to talk over the phone. I called them on my lunch...
I figured out why the primers weren't going into the primmer cup everytime. The bar wasn't coming back far enough to push in the white tab and catch the primmer.
I just spent some time in basement running through some scenarios of what could have happened. Here is what I think may have happened. Resize/de-prime a case, without a new primmer in the primmer cup push the handle forward as if I had a primmer in the primmer cup. I did this on multiple cases...
