I would get a good gun safe that you think that will survive a fire. I would get as basic lock controls. I prefer just a key or a turning combination lock. The electronic and fingerprint locks can brake.
Yes i believe you are correct. I know you never wish to do anything wrong and get in trouble and lose your license. I do agree with laminating because just over time it is easy to rip or get dirty. It keeps you form paying to get a duplicate license.
I agree sounds like you are doing a good job. Most people i know at ranges are very good at helping and giving tips. I would always be open to just asking questions of people at the range. I would also check into weather your range give any kind of lessons.
As long as you can shoot and hit a target with it then it is good for hunting. I do not think that the make of a gun makes that big of a difference, as long as it works. Good luck and let us know how you do.
I guess that is why going to large gun shows is so good. You can get a lot of good prices on guns. With so much competition the prices are almost always great.
I do not believe that you need to do all of that. Just make sure you clean the barel and other moving parts with a tooth brush. If you shoot a lot maybe once a year I would do a complete tear down.
