I've had a Delta for a number of years, it was my carry gun when I lived in Vermont. I replaced Colt's funky double recoil spring setup with a single 24# Wolf spring, as well as replacing the plastic MSH with a proper steel one and put on Trijicon night sights. It's a great little package, and...
I respectfully disagree. Almost everyone I served with in the military was a gun owner of some kind, perhaps not all collectors but owners at the very least. There's a hell of a lot of us veterans out there that are under 30.
Sure, a lot of millennials aren't gun people. But neither are a lot...
Having moved to RI from VT, two out of the three women I've dated since I moved were unfamiliar with guns, and the one I'm currently dating started out as leaning towards anti-gun.
I find that for most people here it is an ignorance thing; they don't know anything about guns other than what...
I know it's slightly off topic, but could you elaborate on how that works?
I thank my lucky stars that I don't live in a anti-gun state, and I will do my level best to never reside in one. I can't imagine a place like Arizona or New Hampshire ever requiring smart gun technology for CCW.
I've had a Delta Elite for several years, in fact it was my carry gun when I lived in a state that was amicable to that type of thing. Like any 1911, mags are the key to reliability. The factory mags weren't the best, but i installed Wilson Combat springs & followers and now they run great. I...
BDC is so prevalent because of the tactical market. On a tactical rifle BDC is a great tool to have, but as you all have mentioned you're constantly experimenting with loads in a hunting rifle so a BDC is useless.
Jim K, I believe those other scratches are just minor surface imperfections brought out by the camera flash. The bluing looks great in normal lighting conditions.
murf, the ejector rod is tight enough that I can't budge it by hand; I'm assuming it's still at factory specs.
Thanks everyone for...
Kp321, although it's hard to see in the picture that front sight screw is recessed into the frame, so I'm pretty sure it isn't actually hitting the cylinder unless recoil is somehow moving it out.
rcmodel, I take it that a bronze brush won't affect the bluing? I used a plastic brush to clean it...
I just returned from a range trip with my new model 29, and I've noticed some strange wear marks on the cylinder.
I've never seen this before, as I said the gun is brand new and the marks weren't there this morning when I left for the range. It's almost as if a screw for the rear...
I've never bought a holster from them, but I bought one of their fitted cases for my C96 w/ shoulder stock and it is gorgeous. Good craftsmanship and quality materials.
If I ever find a nice government NM 1911 I'll get another case from them in a heartbeat.
I'm saving my pennies towards a X5 Tactical, Sig makes some amazing stuff.
Morgo you make me so jealous, those Beretta Combat Combos aren't available in the states.
I own the Sig Tacops, which comes with the magwell and I love it. Because it is part of the MSH, I ended up changing it out for a Smith & Alexander magwell/arched MSH combo because an arched MSH fits my hand better. The original part was good quality and I gave it to a friend to put on his gun...
When I'm in the woods I typically carry a large bore revolver, which is pretty much ambidextrous.
In social environments I carry a 1911. As a lefty I've gone through a ton of different ambi safety designs, and hands down the best I've ever used is the Wilson Combat Bulletproof ambi with...
