p.s. I assume that basically for this co-branded knife it is simply the new generation Ka-Bar with a different steel, built in the Ka-Bar factory, and taken across the street to have the DD edge applied (which is awesome) and then co-branded so it can have the Cutco warranty and we can sell it...
I work for the company but haven't gotten the new Explorer yet or had a chance to play with one. Mostly because I'm just not interested in something that size, and I already have a full size and 5" original style Ka-Bar.
If I remember the Explorer does not use the same steel as the Ka-Bar only...
