You got a fine looking rifle. I would love to have a full length rifle. I do have a H&R 1873 reproduction trapdoor carbine that is a pleasure to shoot.
Naturally it is a bit shorter due to the narrower and smaller grip of the 9mm but it is only by a little bit. I’m running the flat grip inserts on both guns..
The FNX9 does feel better in my hand. I do carry the FNX9 a lot, the FNP45 is just a range toy.
Had a friend who owned a CW45 that kept dropping the mag. He was hitting the mag release during recoil. He swore he was not but I ran 6 mags in a row without an issue. I would definitely check your grip. He ended up selling me the gun real cheap.
That’s exactly how I felt about my HK USP when I bought the FNP45. Super accurate and more aesthetically please to me than the USP.
I bought an extended threaded barrel for it and running an Osprey suppressor. I can draw you a smiley face on the target at 15 yards without thinking too hard about...
Here’s mine 1943, I can say it is a tack driver. I’m running 150 grain Winchester power point bullets pushed by 50.0 grains of H4895. She will almost put 3 rounds in the same hole at 100 yards when I’m doing my part.
Good info, I’ve seen some good used machines at reasonable prices, it’s gett them from there to my shop that is the catch. It almost killed two of us moving the Jet mill. I would have to look around and see what prices are to ship something like that.
I just picked up an 1982 model Jet 16 Mill/Drill and am currently learning how to use it. I’m planning to get a Grizzly 12”x36” lathe for Christmas. I’ve dabbled into gunsmith work for years and now that I’m close to retirement I want to get my shop outfitted for custom gun work. Possibly next...
You’ Be happy. Cool gun, my only dislikes are:
The grip should be filled out more to math the length.
Not quite as quiet compared to my Walther p22 when suppressed.
Other than that I love it.
Picked up a Kel-Tec CP33 recently. So far a couple hundred rounds through it and all I can say is wow. All the reviews are correct, this is an awesome pistol. Super accurate and 33 round capacity, what more could you ask for?
To give you an idea of how she will shoot this is one mag, 33 rounds...
The scope on mine is an old Weaver 1.5-5x20mm with seethru mounts. I had this setup on a desert eagle years ago. I sold the gun and the scope has set for years without a home. I used to put some nice groups with it at 100 yards. I’m sure it wi do well on the CP33 and I can still use the fiber...
