I just ordered a P30L LEM should get it this week...hopefully I'll be putting up targets to match this. Are you running the stock sights or did you upgrade them?

A non-polymer gun that is kinda unique and fun to shoot without being overly expensive but, doesn't feel like your Hi-power...Maybe a Kahr T9? I think I saw one on buds for about 650. I love my K9's and the T9 is just a little bigger and overall a very nice shooter.

Skribs, I did get it through OMBguns and FNH's LEO program. I qualified as active duty Military Police. I don't have any pictures up yet but have been planning on putting some up before too long. There will be a compact model without the safety according to OMBguns...I am considering...

I have an FNS I was able to purchase with out the safety from OMBguns. I shoot it better than my M&P and love the ambi controls and overall ergos, texturing and night sights (which are similar to trijicon HD sights but, not quite as good). So far it has been 100% reliable through the 854...

Doc, The 19 is technically a compact but, I wouldn't really consider it's size compact especially, compared to the shield. It is what I voted for but, with a caveat. Their have been some issue with the post 2011 glocks (mostly with erratic extraction and ejection). I think it is an easy fix...

1. Carry on person: I'd probably go with the 19 but, with anyone of the great holster/belt combo options out there you can conceal the P30 w/o issue. P30 is a bit bigger and a little heavier I think. 2. Reliability: Glock had a rep for stupid good reliability but, have had some recent issues...

I like all of those choices for the reasons you pointed out. If you get a good holster and good belt the 19 can be very comfortable but, I sometimes forget I even have my P9 on when I carry it.

Seems like a fair price. Mags run about $25-30 and you can find the gun new for about $370 with one mag. I don't think it is a rip off IMO.

Of those two I would pick the G19. I like the G26 with the grip extension but, with it, it's not much smaller than the 19 in my opinion.
