At present I load for 7 different pistol calibers and 3 rifle. But when I first got into the reloadiing thing I went all out and ended up with a few things that I really did not need. I have not for a moment regretted my choice in loaders. A Dillon 550b. It may or may not be better than others...
A gun from your father is always one that is more special than the rest.
I have two 41's, a Blackhawk and a S&W Mountain Gun. Both I love but they would have to share it with another if I had the chance to buy one like yours.
As another responded: Start reloading. You can shoot hot or or mild...
The name Charco jumped out when I read your post. I thought Charco no longer owned the company that manufactures these revolvers.
I have a charco bulldog pug in 44spl that I bought new for its light weight sometime in the early to mid 90's. The only reason I still have it is because I cannot...
I've ordered two for the Kahr PM series. One for me and one later for a friend. One took a long time and the other (within the last month) did not. Good quality. We both like them.

For H-110 loads I've used 215 JHPs'. This is a load that is fun to shoot but recoils quite a bit. I believe I chrono'd it at just over 1400fps. Mostly I shoot cast bullets loaded with unique or W-231. What a joy to shoot, both in the blackhawk and the 41 Mountain gun.
41 Magnum
I have this Blackhawk also. Very accurate. If you like recoil, load with Hogden H-110.Very fast and wear a glove because it will hurt you after a few rounds. Slower rounds are pleasant in this gun(Unique and W231). I also have a S&W 41 Mountain Gun that is a joy to shoot.
