    Gun cleaning

usually within a few days, sometimes that night if I'm watching a movie I'll clean while I watch. I don't get to shoot as often as I'd like so they may sit in the cabinet a while, for that reason I clean them within a week of shooting.

    $400 striker/9mm

aesthetics are important to most people I think (ie: most would probably agree that hipoints are pretty dang ugly looking). I like the talo dlc better but not enough to pay more.

    $400 striker/9mm

This was initially going to be a range pistol, but after seeing the SR9c I would really like to carry something besides my PF9 too. With the 17 round mag, it fits both bills... I have always stayed away from Glocks and XDs, because aesthetics are important too and for me, they look like Lego...

    $400 striker/9mm

I find myself leaning towards the SR9c over the full size, I think that's the one I'll go with. I like the idea of being able to carry it and also having 17+1 available as well. I hear the trigger is better on the c than the full size, but as mentioned before there are upgrades available if...

    $400 striker/9mm

I've got about $400 for a new gun and want to try a striker/9mm. I was actually thinking about the Ruger SR9, but would like suggestions if you have any. I've heard the trigger is probably the best in that price range...?

Help me pick a 'better' handgun for my wife

CZ and Beretta make a .380 that is all steal, no polymer... one of those will probably be best, I was actually thinking about the CZ for my wife.

    Guns of Billy the Kid

I believe he used the Colt Lightning (.32), I have the Thunderer (.41), nice guns but I hear their trigger mechanisms where delicate... mine is fully functional still no problems (for a show piece anyway)

got ammo at a decent price

I went into walmart today and didn't see any handgun loads but I did see ppu .223 FMJ BT for 8.xx$ a box, picked up few. That's the first time I saw .223 on the shelf for a looong time down here in south Florida! they had quite a bit too... Its about time things start coming back!

Your Every Day Concealed Carry System

KelTec PF9, no mods, 147 Win HP, 7+1, I usually carry it in my work bag when at work or perhaps my deepconceal (under the shirt) chest rig. On the weekends or night, just put in my pocket with a cheap uncle mikes pocket holster. I like the idea of if ever being in a shooting... the cops...

    Inside the AR bolt carrier

Thanks, that helps, I won't worry about then... especially after reading about #14, wow!

    Inside the AR bolt carrier

It's literally been 30 years since my last AR, just bought one last week and put a few rounds through it. I broke it down to see how dirty it got and do a bit of cleaning, all went well but I noticed a small patch of carbon junk on the inside of the bolt carrier where I couldn't reach too well...

    Colt D.A. 41 Thunderer - inherited

The mech is fully functional, everything works nice and smooth. The original holster with it is branded with someone's initials and the date 1917, I suspect that it hasn't been shot much in the past 50-60 years or so, (my grandfather has had it most of that time, and I know he never took it out).

    Colt D.A. 41 Thunderer - inherited

Thanks for the info! Now I have to figure out what to do with it...

    Colt D.A. 41 Thunderer - inherited

I inherited this smoke wagon from my grandfather... I have no idea what its value or rarity are. Any information or opinion on this gun would be much appreciated. I did look up the serial on proofhouse, it was made in 1903. There seems to be a little corrosion on the outside of the cylinder...

FL Carry Reform Bill in Committee needs YOUR HELP NOW!

tit for tat... a brandishing charge is a far worse thing than printing, but now as long as it can be deemed unintentional, the spirit of the law applies and any judge or arbitrator will most likely agree on that point. Either way, I don't have to worry about it as much anymore.
