    Charles Daly 601 Truetimber

Just bought this Charles Daly for $250 Brand new. Deal seemed too good to pass up. Hopefully it'll work well as a duck gun

How many here didn't start shooting until they were an adult?

Shot my first gun when i was 14 when my stepdad's Dad asked if I wanted to shoot a gun, until that point, I've never touched a gun. Never had them growing up, so after shooting a .44mag as my first time, I shot his .22 and shotguns after that. It wasn't until I joined the military did my love...

    Home Security Cameras

I've been looking into getting cameras and have settled on Lorex. The ones I want to buy are PoE (power over ethernet) which means it powers and sends data on the same cable, it's 4k resolution, and has H265 storage compression. Also, the cameras themselves are IP66 or IP67 I believe, cast metal...

    Question on CCP reciprocity

Contact the local or state police in each state to make sure, or if you want to spend the money, consult a lawyer.

    8mm, what do I have?

The time when there were a collection of satellite countries which served as a buffer between the ussr and the rest of europe, which were under communist control, heavily influenced if not entirely controlled by moscow.

NYC incident where car was mobbed by a swarm of ~50 bicyclists

Yes. "Torgovnick said he stopped the car and put it in park, concerned any movement could hurt someone outside or escalate the violence." https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2020/12/30/bicycle-mob-attacks-bmw-suv-midtown-manhattan/

    7.62x54r load

I reload 7.62x54r to spare my M39 of corrosive ammo. I use IMR4320 as my go-to, but unfortunately, the word is that 4320 is being discontinued. I have only experimented with 4064 with lackluster results. I have heard that Varget is great to use, I've loaded some of it, just haven't been out to...

NYC incident where car was mobbed by a swarm of ~50 bicyclists

That isn't the point. Everyone here is aware of NYC's draconian laws, the OP was just addressing the situation in general.

NYC incident where car was mobbed by a swarm of ~50 bicyclists

If you read the article, the driver said he sat there so he wouldn't hurt anyone. He only moved because they broke the windshield. I've driven in NYC traffic, it's not as bad as people think. He had plenty of space to move.

NYC incident where car was mobbed by a swarm of ~50 bicyclists

This situation could've been easily dealt with if he didn't just sit there. Didn't need to speed off at a high rate of speed, but could've simply started moving, picking up speed. Don't think a gun would've been the first choice, or necessary at all

6 or 7 rounds for defense

I too, have given some thought to this. I carry a Shield 45 which has either 6 or 7 depending on which mag I carry. Is this sufficient, or should I carry something with a higher capacity? I personally think that I would be best suited to regularly practice with my carry pistol than just add a...

    Applying for an FFL

So I recall looking into this awhile back and just never did it, and now that I'm looking back into it, I am starting to remember why I didn't do it then. I wanted to form an LLC for the FFL as a means of liability protection. The cost of that looks to be about $250, which would bring it up to...

7 million new shooters this year.

This has become an interesting thread to read. I have read all the responses and they all have some validity in them. But we should look at this from the perspective of free individuals and recognize that the more private citizens armed is a good thing. Forget new gun owners, old gun owners...

    Applying for an FFL

I think you may be missing my intent. I know supply is low, and I know that I'm not going to make a killing selling guns from my home. I have a good full time job, benefits and all. I figure it'll be awhile before I become well established, also this is a side thing to help out while in school...
