;) Word has it that yes they are good. I'm interested in picking one up at the right price also. I have a CD 1911 Superior which is a great shooter and the company service is very good. Good luck with your search.....triguy
I've got the $360 total in both my IX-C(fullsize doublestack) and my Minimax(compact) and both a great shooters. Wouldn't hesitate if I found another Llama at a good price. As far as parts, finding originals and fitting others is part of the fun ! Go for it Woad ! triguy
Great choice ! I "have contact" with about 60+ of them and keep a stock of extractors, slide stop levers, and trigger springs for those daily breakdowns. Replace your recoil spring every 5,000 rds. and you will be golden ! triguy
If you train enough you can whittle the draw time down on any carry condition. Carry cocked & locked and train, train, train ! Count the steps, rack the slide, release and obtain sight picture. Cocked & locked, thumb the saftey off as you obtain your sight picture. Much easier ! triguy

Lot's of trash talk & hurt words being thrown about in regards to CD ! I've had a fullsize CD 1911 for years and it's been a peach of a gun to me ! Wouldn't hesitate buying another one ! More couch time needed or maybe just a group hug ?
"Charles Daly",
Wondering if you could assist me in obtaining a factory high profile rear sight for my older two tone Daly. It "went missing" during my last range session and those factory high profiles have kinda grown on me. It's been a peach of a gun to me ! Thanks a bunch...........triguy
I've got the following and am happy with all !
Colt 1911(1914)
Springfield Mil-Spec
Crown City Eagle 1911
Crown City frame/Colt slide 1911
Llama IX-C double stack
Charles Daly 1911
Responded quickly last evening and after review I didn't totally answer your questions. 1) double check gun is unloaded 2) loosen notched collar on your car stock w/stock wrench and remember takedown detent which is held in place by plate that becomes loose as you unscrew the notched collar 3)...
DML2007,
Just changed out my fixed fullsize stock for the ACE skel. the other day after a coworker wanted my stock. I retained my fullsize buffer assembly and slid the cheek pad on the tube assembly as I slid the ACE on. Biggest thing is keeping the rear pin detent spring in place as you...
