    Help me diagnose an issue

I haven't tried dry firing it that much, but it hasn't had even a hint of it when I do dry fire it.

    Help me diagnose an issue

I did keep track of the chambers to see if it was repeating on one or two consistently, but it was random, so it's not any specific chamber or index point that does it.

    Help me diagnose an issue

Ok, I had a suspicion being dirty could be the issue. I didn't clean the chambers or any part of the revolver before shooting and given the carbon on the front of the cylinder it had been test fired at the factory who knows how long ago. I'll clean it good and try again.

    Help me diagnose an issue

Picked up the snub 9mm Taurus, checked it out before completing transfer, all was fine. Get to range load ammo directly into chambers without using moon clip, single action to get an idea where to hold on target, no problem. Next cylinder I do double action and the last two rounds the trigger...

Beretta 21A or Ruger LCP II?

The main reason I got this was I wanted something lighter than the Phoenix I have (that is an absolute wonder with how well it performs relative to its price) and because it could be a decent trainer for .380 LCPs I have. I don't particularly care if it runs perfectly, but I do prefer it to...

Beretta 21A or Ruger LCP II?

Shot the LCP II yesterday and had more than enough light strikes to determine it needs the aftermarket springs, so I'll be making the order at Galloway Precision soon.

    Pondering a Taurus 692

The Tracker is considered the large frame for Taurus and I believe these are the same frames their 5 shot .44 Magnum is made on, so figure it's roughly a S&W 69 Combat Magnum size, which I believe is an L frame.

    Pondering a Taurus 692

The 6.5 inch stainless is at the very top of my list, but hard to find. Do not get the black oxide finish, it is the ugliest thing I've seen and I don't understand why Taurus doesn't do a cerakote instead. So the only question you have to ask yourself is do you want porting or not? At that...

Should I have passed on it?

I've had good accuracy with my .32 H&R top break, in fact I had gone years without shooting it and brought it out last year and was surprised how well it was shooting even in double action. The long barrel DAO combination is just some next level dumb.

Should I have passed on it?

Had a transfer done and while I was at the LGS I saw they had some top break H&R's. One was a 5 shot .32 for $50, looked at it and it was a black powder model in poor condition, so no deal on that. Then I saw they had a .38 top break H&R, smokeless, 5 inch barrel and it looked unfired, but it...

Today, $400 is considered cheap for 'em.

Reality is the best deal for a cheap autoloading rifle is a budget AR or even an AR slapped together from a doorbuster sale. Not the end of the world, a few rifles is all you need to get thru life, not dozens of milsurps.

    .22 revolver?

The OP said he wants an affordable .22 revolver and as with all .22 revolver topics it becomes a K-22 lovefest. Enough, we get it, K-22 is a great revolver, but it's not what the OP wants so stop talking about it. Someone mentioned the Diamondback Sidekick, every review I've seen the DA is...

I've been asking around all over the place if anyone has experience with Mag-Spark adapters for the Ruger Old Army

I would still pop a 209 before loading to shoot, that procedure would not change.

    .22 revolver?

Do you want a single action or a double action? Is this for plinking, something for the hiking trail, or as a trainer for another revolver? For single action, skip Heritage, their warranty sucks. Ruger's is better, they make a Super Wrangler .22 Mag/LR convertible with adjustable sights and...

I've been asking around all over the place if anyone has experience with Mag-Spark adapters for the Ruger Old Army

I don't care. My usual process with caps is fire one before I load the chamber and usually the first shot for each chamber after I do this I have no issues. It's after reloading I can run into problems, but that's because I'm not using a pick on each flash hole. If you're telling me that...
