My G23 consistently jams with a Streamlight TLR1 attached. The same light on a G19 and all is good. Go figure.

I picked up a Gen3 G26 with Meprolight night sights at the gun show today. Came with 2 magazines. The Gen4 G26 with fixed sights and 3 mags was $20 cheaper. But, after adding night sights, it would be way more expensive.

I've owned 4 1911's. Still own 3 of them. STI Trojan 9mm, Kimber Pro Raptor and Springfield TRP. Sold a Para-Ord to a buddy who was on a budget. The Para-Ord was reliable from day 1 and probably had 1000 rounds through it. I had no reservations selling it to a friend as I knew it was reliable.

I went with the Savage 10 Precision Carbine. The Accustock is a decent stock and thus I wasn't compelled to immediately go and buy an aftermarket stock. As a result, the Precision carbine actually costs less than the SPS Tactical since you will feel the need to get a new stock with the SPS...

Aubie515, I am the OP and was the one that threw out another option. So, I'm entitled! ;-)

Definitely check Bushnell Elite 4200 and 3200 scopes that are on closeout right now as Bushnell is reorganizing their product line to all be under an "Elite" product line.

I also see Bushnell 4200 Elite Tactical 3-12x44 mil/mil and illum reticle on closeout. Would that be a good alternative?

Looking at the Vortex Viper PST FFP 4-16x50 or one of the two new Sightron scopes for 2011: SIII 3.5-10x44 LR MDCM or SIII 3.5-10x44 LR IRMOA. I'll be using it for hunting and long range targets on a Savage 10 PC in .308. Which would you go with and why?
