Rifle in question - Savage 110 fixed mag in 30-06.
Problem - When working the bolt on the first motion "up" the action seems to "stiffen up" but it does not stick. The rounds cycle fine and the rifle works with no FTF's or FTE's.
I guess what I'm asking is, is stiff action normal on savage...
I agree with a lot of what was said here.
Please note, I did not name the shop nor is the shop's name visible in the picture. I agree in capitalism, vote with your wallet if you care to.
This is not meant to defame this shop in any way.
Sorry guys, I thought it'd be easier to see.
Its a gun store that facilitates CCW training and sells handguns/gear, but yet does not allow concealed carry in the store. I thought it was odd and might be of humor to you guys.
You guys from CFL might know what store this is but please don't name it. I have gone to this store many times without noticing the sign on the front door that prohibits concealed carry.
For those not from the Daytona area, this is the front door of a popular gun store.

A super short review of the Maxpedition Sitka brought on by a response to a question about the Maxpedition Fatboy being used for short hikes. I told the poster asking that I much prefered the...
In the case of Nikon Monarchs, I found one at Optics Planet for $299.00 - http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikon-monarch-3-9x40-matte-bdc-riflescopes.html .
Is this a decent deal?
Well guys, I'm just about set on my new centerfire being a tikka t3 in 30-06. Not 100% on it, so we'll see. But now I need a scope. I originally said I'd put $1k into the whole rifle set up. So that leaves roughly $400 after rifle and tax.
So if you had $400 for a scope, what would you buy?
Good for you, Guilermo!
For this and other reasons regarding corporate policy (lack of customer service if you're not buying) I choose to use a small, family-owned jeweler. Always nice to support small American owned businesses.
Cajun - I do want it to be in a caliber readily available at any mom and pop country store. The 30-06, .308, and 30-30 all fit that mold.
And abel, you're right. I did say out to 200yds. Sometimes it just feels that the 30-30 is the way to go, just too much history out there. Would be a good...
Well that tikka t3 really feels nice. I could see myself carrying that rifle over some miles of tracking. I want a bit more punch than 30-30 and feel that the 30-06 is probably my way to go, but I'm also thinking of a .308.
Any thoughts on that 700 sps for $439?
