I read the full story of this on BBC news. It said that they had been at a new years eve party and someone was shooting into the air. The bullet came back down and lodged in his head. He was not actually 'shot' as such.

You mean just pull the trigger once and then fire only by pumping? I don't think there is a shotgun out there that works that way. A trigger pull is needed to drop the hammer.

Over here in the UK, they will take your guns off you if you arent using them. Ammo purchases are tracked so if you havent bought any ammo for a year for a particular firearm, the police can say you don't have a 'need' for the guns so you can't have them. Gun clubs require a minimum attendance...

I'm not legally allowed to let my GF (who lives with me) know where the keys to the gun safe is. Under UK law, I have a license, because she does not and they have not done the required background checks etc on her, she is not allowed to have access to them. It sort of makes sense I guess...

You have to be a very good shot if you shoot full all the time. Most of the top shots will do this. If I did that, I'm not sure I would hit anything at all :/

This is an interesting poll. What I am seeing is that a lot of people are more into guns than they are shooting. I didnt realise it was so common to buy guns and stock up on ammo one time to keep it all for emergency. I always thought you buy a gun, then you go enjoy it whether that be hunting...
