and therefore activate the slide stop before the magazine is empt?
Where does the magazine follower make contact with the slide stop?
I have a slide stop that is occassionaly locking back before the mag is empty, and want to file it down some to keep the bullet from contacting and...
You did it intentionally after another poster just described that he couldn't get it disassembled afterwards?
No offense, but what you were you thinking?
Ok, the reason I was looking at the G3 was because I wanted a semi-auto 20 gauge that could shoot 3"shells and I liked the 1100 already and had a lot of experience shooting it.
The reason I wanted 3" shell capability was so I could use it if I ever decided to turkey hunt, rather than a 12...
I don't think we are comparing the same guns.
I am comparing a 20 gauge 1100 G3 (which is what I am leaning towards) to a 12 gauge Beretta 391 Urika 2 with a synthetic stock (which is one I have now). If you make that comparison there is only a little more than a half pound difference. But...
I don't want to have the barrel threaded for chokes. My 1100 is pretty old, and I do not believe Remington still makes replacement barrels for it. I don't want to alter the original.
I will use this gun for skeet/dove/quail. No ducks or geese. Might eventually get into Turkeys one day...
I am looking at Remington 1100s.
I have an old (~1976) Remington 1100 20 gauge that I have been shooting since I was 12. So after about 25 years of shooting this gun, I am pretty used to it. It has a 26" IC barrel.
I am now thinking of getting something new. I love the handling of the...
The main reason I would prefer a 20 gauge is because most of my shotgun experience has been with a Remington 1100 20 gauge that I have been shooting since I was about 12. I am used to this gun, and love the way it handles.
Does a 12 gauge Reminton 1100 handle as well as a 20 gauge?
I...
I am looking to buy a new shotgun, and am thinking about the Remington 1100 G3. This can handle both 2 3/4" shells and 3" shells.
I am leaning towards a 20 gauge, as most of my shotgun needs will be handled well with this, such as quail/dove/skeet.
However, I would also like to be able to...
