I got to attend Thunder Ranch while it was still in Texas.
What you get when you attend the class is a second set of eyes that has lots of experience of spotting when you are doing something wrong. Plus, you get to do live fire work without worrying about restrictive range rules.
Thunder Ranch...
I lived in California for 13 years. I left for Japan in 1998, and when I came back in 2000, SB23 had passed. So, this Sailor (and 5 AR-15 rifle owner) will never take orders to that state again.
Wouldn't it be proper to say she will run for election, since she was appointed the first time? You have to be elected once already before you can run for re-election.:neener:
Say hi to Buena Park/Cypress/Garden Grove/Westminister for me (all places I had lived through the 80s before...
I've had a double with my one of my ARs which was purely unintentional. Freak combination of just the right trigger pressure and position with just the right soft hold on the rifle.
I'm 14 year active Navy, and and order such as this would be so widely ignored, no unit commander would issue it.
What I have in my off base private domicile is none of my unit's business. All the unit needs to know is that I have one, what my recall is.
Most of California's open shooting areas were closed for this very reason.
Trash.
Cave Creek was a scary place to shoot, sometimes, before it was contracted out as a supervised range.
If I was to find an area like this, I'm keeping it to myself.
I believe the Heller case will be the pivotal event of our time.
I am not the only military member watching with extreme interest. This case has come up a few times in office conversation.
Yes, I carry at least one spare when carrying.
Sometimes I carry 4 spares, just because I can. 51 rounds of .40 S&W on my person ain't too shabby. :)
Yes, I can conceal it, too. Think Seattle in February.
Bogie, earlier in the thread, the OP poster said he could see the case that is still chambered. So I would say that no, there isn't a bullet lodged in the bore.
I'm curious if the OP poster has tried to get the pistol apart.
Might need a big rubber mallet. ;)
There were many things legal in California at some point. I bought my Para-Ordnance P-14 there, in 1996, 14 round magazines and all. I bought an AR-15 there too, in 1998.
It's only in the last 10 years that California has gone absolutely insane.

Weird, didn't intentionally double...
