    My PT1911 is fantastic. I considered a SA GI, but for a little more, I got the PT1911 and couldn't be happier.

    P220 was a good suggestion (love mine), a USP is another option (love that one also). For a 1911, I would (and did) go with a Taurus PT1911. It is a fantastic firearm.
