I picked up a grade B last week. Carried alot shot little seems to be the norm for the B grade. at 699 retail these will be gone quick and im sure prices will start going back up as well as the price of the mags.
For the CMP you can just join the Garand Collectors Association (its about $20)that counts, then you need a firearms license or training or proof of competition
I had about the same thing happen with my Sig P226, winchest white box, pulled the trigger very small muffled bang, cleared the case, luckily the next round would load all the way. Could have been worse.
Buy a USGI, you get the gun and the history for less money, Thats a deal in itself. What ever you do stay away from the universal make, as some parts are different than USGI.
I've seen AR scope mounts that flip to the side 90 degrees to free up the iron sights then rotate back down without losing zero. I dont know who makes them. Im sure someone with have the answere
Never had any guns in the house, Pretty much the same as 30 cal slob. Im 25 and now have 30 guns in the collection my parents would freak. Although now that I think about it if they ever came to visit, their curiostiy would make them handle them when I wasnt around. Good thing I keep them locked up.
I agree with 10-Ring it definately goes in waves, i'll go 4-8 months without wanting or buying anything then get 4 in one month. Its just gettting when the prices are good and playing with what you have while your waiting for the next deal to come your way.
