I have a modest collection of John Browning's commercially produced guns, including Winchester, Colt and Remington's. I am about halfway there. But as a side-note, I started collecting Winchester rifles built after Browning's falling out with Winchester to include the Winchester 1907, 1910...
I believe they lower psi a bit. On minimum loads I've needed a couple of extra tenths of a grain compared to flat base. I've been impressed with the hollow base 185g in 45. Excellent accuracy in my softball loads.
I purchased the Cabelas CSE version with the laser grip. The Kimber 8 round magazines have been flawless for me. I did, however, start to experience a few failure to return to battery issues after less than 350 shots. I replaced the oem recoil spring with a heavy duty from Galloway Precision...

I think I need an 05 and 07 to go with my 10. Of course I would also need an 03. That's what started the wsl family. Winchester needed their own 22 cartridge because most 22LR was still being loaded with black powder.
Winchester had to design around several Browning patents. The most obvious...
Agsansoo,
I'm not sure what you are asking for.
I need warhwkbb to show me how to replace the fore end. :)
If you need a replacement stock, I can point you to a couple of places. I love the history of your rifle, clean it up and it will continue to be a family heirloom.
I started a thread a while ago that devolved into a discussion of the early Winchester auto-loading rifles. (05, 07 and 10) I thought a new thread would be appropriate.
I have a first year production Model 10 in 401 wsl. The wood was rotten and the receiver looked more like a rusty farm...
I also have a Winchester 1910 401wsl. The historical differences between them are fascinating to me. Nearly every piece of the 401 was designed around "not" infringing on JMB's patents. Most obvious is the the bolt charging handle location. Yup, that was patented too!
Thanks!
I already have had the pleasure of replacing incorrect magazine side springs. My sphincter tightened a bit when all the widgets fell out. A few minutes to study how the levers interacted and I was able to get it back together without much difficulty. I actually had a harder time...
I am a new owner of an 81 in 35 Rem. At first, the magazine would only hold four rounds; the fifth would cause most of the other rounds to erupt out of the top of the mag.
I slightly bent the magazine springs to just barely hold five loaded 35 Rem rounds. I've run into conflicting information...
I have to be extremely discreet at my place of employment. I carry a Micro 9 in a zippered wallet holster originally made for a P238. My concessions were to carry the pistol in my right rear pocket and my wallet in my left. see URL below pictures...
