    Servisios and Adventuras Primer Observations.

Keep seeing people having problem with foreign primers due to the fact they are slightly larger. They MUST be forced hard into the pocket and your problems will diminish. Even as a a person said earlier in this thread that pushing them until there's a bit of a dent imbedded into the primer. The...

.223 too powerful for home defense?

A .223 round going off in a house even out of a 20" barrel would be ear splitting and likely painful. Also a rifle isn't nearly as easy to maneuver in a house as a handgun nor as fast to get into action. A couple of seconds could be the difference between winning and losing. If I were to use a...

Anybody familiar with EWK gun parts?

Eric made some custom springs for me for a pork chop Dan Wesson several years ago for a member of this board who lives in a different country. I sent the guy the springs and he was very happy. Also if the danwessonforum.com is still active he can be found there. There are many people there that...

Another one waiting for me up there

You may want to give yourself time before you look for a replacement. You will not replace that dog. I went through the same thing a few months ago and realized it was like being on the rebound from a relationship. I immediately started looking to get another dog but after months realized I will...

Is the smokeless powder safe to use?

I empty my hopper when I am done for the day. In my mind the little bit of powder in the hopper isn't worth risking using. Powder is readily available right now.

    Affordable 22LR (Lowest shipped pricing)

Beware of AMMOPLANET.COM!!! There is also an AMMO-PLANET that is a different company. Was trying to find AMMOPLANET.COM phone number but cannot find one, nor is there an email address. They did send an email to me after I made the order. Here is the scam rating for AMMOPLANET.COM...

Servicio Aventuras vs. CCI Primers Updated Nov.3

A common problem with foreign primers is that the primer diameter may be metric and are larger diameter than domestic. This makes them harder to seat. You really have to push them in hard. The Ginex primers from Bosnia I think were measured with a micrometer and were 2-3 ten thousandths larger...

    Reloading Mistake

I only reload when I'm fully alert and there are zero distractions. Never load when tired when it's easy to make mistakes. I remember reading about a guy in Idaho who had been reloading for decades. His shotgun blew up and it killed him so never ever be complacent.

Duty to Inform the LEO if Carrying on Official Contact

The state police here in Oregon are a very squared away bunch. I've been to one of their local offices and those guys look like they're ready for inspection.

Duty to Inform the LEO if Carrying on Official Contact

Up until this thread I used to think having to inform a leo that pulls you over was stupid. My thought had been that bad guys aren't going to offer that info and permit holders are rarely if ever a threat. In Oregon we're not required to let the police know we are armed. If it makes them feel...

Servicios Adventuras and Fiocchi small pistol primers

One thing that can cause people a tendency to not seat a foreign primer all the way is because they are slightly larger and more difficult to seat. I just switched from Bosnian primers to Federal and the Federal primers slide in very easily in comparison.
