I use a cardboard plug from a cereal box and then a lube pill,then the ball or conical.Cardboard keeps the lube pill from contaminating the powder in summer.also I have found that .452 carts only need .375 lube pills. Makes loading the carts easier with the smaller pill.I am not using lubed wads.

I have one shots pretty good, I like the no recoil shield .Caps fall off after firing easily.Been think bout gettin a conversion cylinder for an 1860 and having it shortened and run Schofield rounds in it.

well I use this same Primer compound with great success.I use a tool I made from a small pistol primer.One full scoop to each cap.Then I drip 90% alky, 3 to 4 drips per cap.I don't tamp just let the fluid settle it.Let set over night.Then I take a can of cheap hairspray and make a few passes...
