We don’t keep score for specifically this reason. You can FOIA and see that I’ve passed every qual, but there is no internal document showing that I’ve had a perfect score on each qual (which on our qual isn’t difficult.) Just a Pass/Fail.
How does one get "digital fingerprint cards." Is this a special file or do you just get regular fingerprints on a card and then scan the card in as an image?
I just heard that knife maker Mark Kee was a victim of the recent flooding in Tennessee. Super nice guy, always happy to answer questions on email or Facebook. May he Rest In Peace.
Many pocket knives I carry are in the $300-700 range. I use them daily, but most are readily replaceable. The kitchen knife I use multiple times a day is also over $500, but again, I could call the maker and easily order another one, so I don’t think of it as collectible.
I have collectible...
Thanks. I had a feeling you might know; I asked a few knife friends locally and no one had a clue. We were guessing it may be for cleaning a horse hoof.
Grafting makes a lot of sense as he was very big into roses and had several rose show trophies in the house.
While cleaning out a deceased family member’s house I came across these two knives. Any idea what the purpose of the “bump” on the back of the blade is for?
While the gas station robberies still tend to be a one man job, much other violent crime, especially the stranger on stranger type (carjackings, street robberies, craigslist sale meet ups) seems to be going toward at least 2 suspects.
This makes it harder to fight your way out of, but if...
I don't know what the "best" is, but after testing several rounds (our department does consider barrier penetration to be a concern) we ended up with Speer Gold Dot 75 gr.
I keep one of these

on my belt, along with a spare tourniquet. I’ve seen too many cases where one tourniquet didn’t stop a thigh bleed.
I keep a larger kit in the truck, as the small one only has 2 chest seals, which is...
I own a Benchmade Ruckus, which was based on the Neil Blackwood Henchman. I once had a chance to buy a Henchman flipper direct from Neil and waited about 30 minutes too long to pull the trigger. I was able to later find a Skirmish, which I also wanted, but regret not piping up sooner when that...
This is why I compete with my duty holster and an AR with the same optic as I use at work. They are slower and not designed for the game, but its good practice and the timer and competition add some stress. Agree that something as simple as sprints or pushups to get the heart rate up does...
I doubt I'll buy one because I have too many others that meet the same need, but have shot one quite a bit and it is a fantastic gun. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Not sure about barrel length and sight height, but from my m&p pistol with an RMR I get about 5” drop at 100 yards from a 25 yard zero. Hitting 3 feet in front of the target seems excessive.
