    The future of revolvers

If you think of a handgun as a tool there will always be a need for a solid performing basic package. Either concealed carry or out and about in the field a revolver is just that.

    ArchangelCD is not well

Erich just saw this as I had already placed a post. This is Bill his Cousin. A good man and yes he loved HS6 because back in the day I used to push Unique on him and he had to be different.

    ArchangelCD is not well

An active member here and my cousin Tony AKA ArchAngelCD passed last month after a long battle with Cancer. We shared the love of shooting and reloading over many decades. He was a very active shooter and reloader who loved to develop and test new loads, he was a wealth of knowledge and just...

    38 Special +P loads

Just wanted to let yall know that Tony AKA ArchAgnelCD has passed after a tough battle with cancer. Tony is my cousin and we shared our love for shooting over many decades. I helped him set up his first reloading station. He was a good man and an avid loader and shooter. He will be missed.

S&W J Frame- Centennial vs Chief’s Spl. vs Bodyguard

Until it recoils, then you have no choice. The Centennial frame will more naturally fill the hand. That of course is if you have grips small enough to fit in a pocket, a big ole set of Pachmyrs will negate the difference.

S&W J Frame- Centennial vs Chief’s Spl. vs Bodyguard

Have all 3, the 638 gets the most carry as it’s the lightest and I like having the option of cocking the hammer. The 36 is a safe queen. The 640 is by far the best and easiest to shoot. 640 no dash all steel was my 24/7 gun for decades. Super smooth trigger and the extra weight along with...

Question for those who like to go a little more old fashioned in their ammo choices?

When I carry a 2” Revolver I carry factory ammo, usually Speer 135 Short Barrel in .38 of which I have plenty. If not .38 Hornady Critical Defense. But when I load I load Semi-Wadcutters both HP and WN. If for what ever reason I had to press them into service I would have no problem doing...

    New Charter Arms Police Undercover

A true “Under Cover” gun is one that no local department or agency uses. Add to that a mixed payload of two different rounds that gun my just keep you healthy if accidentally discovered depending on the “under cover” role. So in a way it might work for that purpose. Some things people know...

    questions on 38 special +P

That’s with the 3.6 Grains of W244? You are very much standard pressure at that level. Like others say a touch more crimp then once the dies are set you can bump things up a bit. Top of the standard pressure ladder is 4.0 grains. My testing led me to the 4.0 grains at which the bells went...
