Hey Caribou..I made it up here...The Coho are running late this year so we are filling the smoke houses down here (South East AK) and putting in fire wood. Also the last of the canning. I didn't get much building done though....
Maybe I'll have time for a trip north at the end of next summer. I...
Will do caribou....As soon as the homestead is cleared and the cabin is built and the garden is in and the livestock pens are made and..and.. and....
But you never know, I've always wanted to get up your way...and when I do I'll look you up.
After 28 years of livin' amongst the chechakos, I leave to move back home tomorrow. I thank you caribou, for givin' me a small taste of Alaska these last few years. In fact you might have contributed to my decision to return home. I won't be anywhere near as far north as you or even as far north...
I smoke and use a Zippo almost exclusively...I do top it off and keep a small eyedrop container of fuel in my ruck. I have never bough a flint since so many of my acquaintances use plastic disposables that I just reclaim the flints when they run out. Even though my current Zippo has a broken...
When I was a younger man I watched my brother cut a half of an inch from his pinky finger because a lock failed. It was interesting though, I picked up the end and looked at the cross section of a finger. I'm no fan of locks since that day.
Most have probably high tailed it by now...I used to work for the USFS in the Gifford Pinchot. Mt. St Helens killed some wildlife but now they are all back and have been for quite a while.
That is exhausting work and the rewards are few...But someone has to do it, thanks.

Force is a legal option to defend life and in some jurisdictions property. I know that all cops are good people inside ( I read it on THR), but those fellas that were gunned down in New Orleans by police officers would have been well within their rights to shoot back at the cops that were...
Right...and then wait and hope for a just conclusion. What this ruling ignores are the facts that there are police officers that have crossed the line and that there are folks that perform home invasions while claiming to be police officers.
Man you like to twist things....So here ya go...Porn has been defined as subjective to the viewer by the courts. Much art from the Renaissance and earlier eras could certainly be interpreted by some folks as porn, you know, naked bodies and all of that. So yeah...In a twisted way I sure could...
You split a pretty fine hair there. Let's just say "no extra out of pocket expense".
Your responses and the law itself furthers the divide between LEOs and the rest of us. That divide is not good and will only lead to bigger, harder to deal with, issues.
Now I'm just a hillbilly, but if the LEOs weren't makin' unlawful and illegal searches the the homeowner wouldn't have to resist 'em.. I guess I'm sayin' that it implies that there will be illegal and unlawful entry. By acknowledging that there have been and will be illegal and unlawful and then...
