I carry 230 gr. Remington Golden Saber nearly every day. I would also trust Gold Dots. Not sure about the price, but I think Gold Dots are a little cheaper.

In my mind, Stephen Hunter is hands down the best. His research is very good. Point of Impact is my favorite book. The 1632 series also contains excellent gun data and use.

I have used the CA44 with my 450 for over a year now. It does work very well. It doesn't hold the rim as well, but I have never had any problems with them. By the way, the 450 is one of my favorite concealed carry guns. It is light weight with plenty of power.

I have an old 870 wingmaster in 16 gauge. I don't know how old, but about 1/3 of the blueing is gone. Remington makes a 16 gauge slug barrel for the 870. Does anyone know if a new barrel will fit any 870, or have any changes been made that would not allow my to put a new barrel on an older gun?

I grew up shooting my father's mini-14, and I own one now. Both were wood stock-blued metal. I love both of them. We fired thousands of rounds through them. The only problem was aftermarket magazines. Be sure to test all your mags.

Does anyone know where I can get a used 16 gauge barrel for an 870? I found one at Gun Parts, but $165 was the cheapest. I would really like to find one a little cheaper.

Here in Oklahoma you can not carry anything larger than .45. Don't ask me why, its part of the law. I have carried a 7.5 inch blackhawk in .45 colt a lot during the winter while wearing coveralls. Living in a small, rural town I actually fit in dressed like that.

I went Sunday afternoon. I didn't make it through everything, I never do. I did trade for a Marlin 1895, but the instant check system was down, so I couldn't take the gun home. I have to pick it up later this week. Kind of put a damper on the whole thing for me.
