My favorite range therapy involves my 6 bore flintlock. Nothing like sending 2.5 oz of lead down range to make you smile. And the involved loading process helps ease my mind off of any issues
Honestly I enjoy the shows and movies more. It's exciting when they get things right! When they are wrong, meh, that's Hollywood. I still get a kick out of the FX show Archer, strangely accurate as to firearm use. Especially the last effect on hearing.
I do plan on shooting it (assuming its safe). I actually feel bad for old and antique firearms that never get used anymore. Too much like gun hospice. Now I'm not saying it'll be my primary range toy, but I will proudly say that I own no safe queens.
I don't plan on polishing the barrel, but I...
Well, I did manage to get that screw in and out while broken. If I could find a period one that'd be great
As for the light.... Well it's a big bore so an led flashlight and camera flash had room to work
I want to keep it as original as possible, but I am also a practical man and would like to use it regularly. So maybe a metal insert and a period correct looking screw. You think conicals can be loaded? The rifling doesn't look right for them.

The Luepold is great but might be over kill. I cant imagine shooting over 100yds with this so irons or a red dot type might be better.
As far as the A2 with my hands I actually did notice some heat when I tried the over exagerated "c-clamp" grip you see alot of these days. As long as I wasnt...
Didnt see many reviews for these around so I figured Id post my own. As usual YMMV JMHO ETC....
First off I ordered their 7.5" pistol kit with a stainless barrel (1/7). The kit came with everything, including the sig brace and buffer assembly, minus the BCG and charging handle. The quad rail...
Picked up this flintlock pistol recently and I do not know much about it. There are no barrel proof marks and only one stamp on the lock so far.
What I know so far: Miquelet lock, .62 cal (ish), square pins for barrel and ramrod channel, mostly appears old and surprising light weight wood is...
