I have always wanted a Walther PP. They were always been above my price range. When these 32 FEGs were imported a couple years ago, I picked one up. I put in a wolff spring kit and a used set of Marschal grips and haven't been looking for a real PP in a while. This thread unfortunately my...
Congratulations OP. I had one. It was uber reliable and accurate. My youngest talked me out of it. It's now his cold weather EDC. If I ever run across another one I would buy it without hesitation.
I own three M&P's. A 1.0 45 with an Apex duty trigger upgrade as well as two 2.0's in 9mm and 40. The 45 is hand down one of the most accurate guns I own. Just an absolute tack driver. The 2.0 40 is extremely accurate as well. The 9mm is just "combat accurate" Both 2.0 guns are bone stock except...
For years I only had one .40 pistol (CZ 40B). Once those police trade in started flooding the market I picked up two Sig P229s (one DAK and one DA/SA) plus a P226 for very reasonable prices. The P229 DAK is probably my favorite (and most carried) 40 pistol I currently own.
@Nasty Canasta my son pocket carries my old 950BS in a generic Uncle Mikes holster. Can you send a link to where you got that holster? It looks to be an upgrade for him.
I have shot a few Bobcats over the years. Nice little guns in my opinion. I owned a Beretta 950BS and still own a Taurus PT22 Poly as well as a bunch of other mouse 25's. Both of the tip up barrel pistols run great when clean but had issues once they got dirty. My youngest now carries the 950BS...
I picked up my 7 shot Mav 88 ~15 years ago. Zero issues. When each of my son's moved out, I bought each of them a 5 shot Mav 88. My youngest is out deer hunting with his as I write this post. They are just superb inexpensive shotguns.
I'm with @Old Dog on this one. I like long, deliberate trigger pulls on my nightstand gun. I have a full sized SIG P250 45 with TLR7 light for that duty currently. The P250 is a true DAO gun with a long smooth trigger pull. There almost no chance of a AD with that gun.
Another vote for sticking with your Ruger and spending your money on some premium 9mm defense ammo. If you look at the Lucky Gunner gel tests, there is not much difference between 9mm and 40.
I own four vintage Taurus revolvers (441 in 44 special, 94 in 22lr, 82 in 38 and 73 in 32 long) plus a PT22 Poly. All are excellent shooters. This thread has got me looking for a 1990's stainless PT92 because the price of Beretta 92 Inox's has gotten ridiculous.
I own DA/SA (PX4, P220 and several 3rd Gen S&W's), striker (P320, M&P) and DAO (Sig P250) 45acp pistols. All of my 45's would probably work as a bedside pistol. My personal preference is the full sized P250. I love that long smooth DAO trigger pull in a high stress situation that may occur in...
