mxbob's suggestion is a good place to start. The first time I took my bolt apart and reassembled it, I had the same problem your describing. Turns out I didn't have the bolt head fully screwed.
OK, I hoping the threads were the same. I've done serveral pistol, and rifle mods so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable cutting the lug and moving but I don't want to have to weld the extenstoin tube too.
Will a 870 mag extension fit a norinco m37? What I mean are threads and diam the same?
I know that the lug welded at the end of my currrent mag tube gets in the way but if it wasn't there will the mag extender work?
I used Norrell's Molyresin, grey/green. I agree with berettaman surface prep is the key. I stripped my old finish then parkerized then painted. Make sure there is no grease before you paint.
I love my XD fits my had perfectly trigger is ok but not as good as the one on my S&W 59 guess it's just been used more. I haven't had any problems with rust but the finish isn't all that great it's wearing out around the muzzle where my hoslter rubs it.:)
I just got a pound of Bullseye a few last week. I was looking for a fast powder had been useing Unigue, Bluedot, and 700X. Someone recomended tightgroup but I couldn't find it at my local shop so I picked up some Bullseye hoping that it wouldn't be too dirty I've loaded some 165gr FP Berry's...
grip
What kind of grip do you use? I have found it hard not to press the grip safety when I pick up my XD. My trigger feels realy smooth too although it does have a little overtravel.
