    3rd Generation S&W's- what is/was the impression?

I have several carry options in both steel and polymer. Glocks, Sigs, CZ's and others but my every day carry is a Smith 5906 carried in an Alien Gear kydex holster. Yeah, it's heavy but it's a fantastic gun.

    New to reloading and .....

I bought a RCBS kit a few years ago and havn't had any problems. Buying a kit from whoever you choose should save you a little money over buying individual items. Starting with a single stage is probably best IMO. There is a difference in how well some of the different manufacturers products...

What's your age group and what do you carry?

I'm over 50 and carry several different handguns depending on my mood. They include Glock 23, Sigma 9ve, Sigma 40ve, CZ 75, CZ Rami, Kahr CW9, and Sig P250 subcompact. My favorites are the Sigma 40, the Rami and the Sig. The Smith Sigma 40ve is the first handgun I bought several years ago...

Need some thoughts on an EDC

I have a number of carry options but have been carrying a P250 sub compact for over six months. It has the smoothest trigger of anything I've shot including my Smith Wesson 686. Are you resting the last joint of your trigger finger over the trigger? Just asking. You are certainly right about...

    CZ Rami

I've got a Rami 2074 and carried it some this summer. It's all steel however and perspiration was a problem. Gave it a good cleaning and put it away. I'm carrying a Sig P250 in 9mm now.

    Americas Deadliest City

I live in WV and a number of years ago some out of state outlaw bikers took up residence in the rural county which is next door to my own county. They behaved badly with the locals for a few months but it didn't last. Three or four of them died from shotgun blasts received from passing pickup...

Don't reload? You should... here's why

There are a lot of nice things about reloading. One of the best things is not having worry about the panics that hit the supply of factory ammo. I bulked up on primers and powder a couple years ago and have plenty.

    Your Concealed Carry Gun?

Like a few others I've carried a bunch of different handguns. The one I've carried the most is a Smith Wesson Sigma in 40 caliber. Lightweight, ergonomic, high capacity, and utterly reliable.

    Something's going on...

My personal take is that the financial picture has people worried. No need to list all of the problems. They're talked up on TV every night. I'm assuming having a way to defend yourself and having some stocks of supplies on hand is one way to alleviate some of the anxiety. It probably all...

    Just fell for a cz

My wife told me to buy the gun so we could get on with our day... Now that's kind of woman I want... Congrats on the CZ. I have a 2075 Rami, a 75BD, and a 40P. All very nice guns. The 75 BD rides well in a Comp-Tac IWB holster and provides serious concealed carry firepower.

    rossi

I have a Rossi 462, a Ruger GP 100, a Ruger sp101 and a Smith 686. I also have two Taurus revolvers. The Rossi's are ok if you absolutely must save the extra money it would take to buy a Ruger or Smith. Having completely disassembled all four manufacturers products I can tell you there is a...

    Next Firearm

I don't see a clear choice. Your opportunities to carry concealed are limited due to being on campus so much. On the other hand you won't need the rifle until next fall. Sounds like a toss up.

    Name Brands...Are they worth $$$.

Ruger is a "name brand" and so is H&K. Big difference in price between these two but they are both high quality manufacturers. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

Took the plunge, put a down payment on a 686

Congrats on the 686 lay away. I've got a 686 with a 4" bbl and would not try to conceal carry it. IMO the gun is just too big. Of course depending on how you dress a shoulder holster could be a possibility. I personally wouldn't want that much weight hanging on my belt all day no matter how...

    Sig Mosquito

I have one and it cycles cheap ammo fine until it gets dirty, usually about eighty rounds. The gun's purpose is to serve as a training weapon for a full size Sig. Same controls and field strip routine. It was never intended to operate smoothly like a Ruger. One example is the sights. They are...
