    Powder for Multiple Cartridges

BE-86 or Power Pistol would be my top choices for performance in 9 & 10mm.

    Ruger Mark ll mag loader

I have a McFadden and it works well (after fiddling with the adjustment screw) for my MkII mags and a little better for my Buckmark mags. FWIW, an old lightswitch plate (after a couple swipes with a file) fits over a Ruger magazine and allows you to hold down the button for easy loading. I...

One More Sixgun! Uberti El Patron .45 Colt.

Caught the reply before I moved it eh? Well, as you might expect Unique was a little better than 231 but I doubt either hit 50%. After decades of experience with both in .44mag cases, I had/have no concerns with either of them though. Don't have much experience with Bullseye outside of...

45 Colt Loads and Position Sensitivity

I'm very new to reloading .45 Colt but have loaded other calibers for 35+ years. For my maiden voyage with the big Colt cartridge, I tried 231, Unique, Sport Pistol, Accurate #5, Universal and Titegroup all under a home cast Lee 255gr RNFP and PC'd. Unique (at 7.5 gr) was my favorite load...

Forged, Cast & MIM. What's better and why

Please, can someone explain any differences between MIM and cast? I understand that MIM likely means casting under pressure whereas casting could be both; under pressure or using gravity (is centrifugal casting considered pressure/MIM?) but, AFAIK, the pressure casting process has been used for...

Opinions on a WESTERN style 45 Long Colt Six-Shooter Please

I'm just here to post the same picture I always post in these types of threads: Couple of Taylor's Smoke Wagons that I'm very happy with.

Got out with the Mark 2 today

I bought this KMK-514 (5¼" heavy tapered barrel) in Jan of 1990 and have since shot about a million rounds through it (ok, I'm exaggerating but not by that much) Supposed to have been a limited run of this barrel configuration for a firearm retailer like Lipseys or something like that (memory...

    Ankle Holsters

I really shouldn't comment on this topic since I've never ankle carried but, I have considered it. In my humble opinion, ankle carry definitely has its place; if your lifestyle involves a lot of sitting (desk jobs) or driving, and maybe others. But, under many/most other circumstances, you'll...

Stole a heritage series S&W, show us yours.

I'm a huge revolver fan. A revolver was my 1st firearm purchase nearly 35 years ago and my last 3 purchases have been revolvers. 99% sure my next purchase is going to be a revolver. Finally, case hardening is never a bad idea. Beautiful revolver, congrats!

As a bullet caster, my dreaded time approaches!

I cast/smelt in the doorway between my garage and an open patio. Doesn't matter what time of year there is always a breeze to blow away any "funk". Since Norfolk Southern blew up my front yard last year I'm not sure it matters anymore because the neighbors are used to crap blowing around in...

Well, I already had the manual-

Yeah, I put an adapter on my 622 in anticipation of the purchase of a suppressor but something else caught my attention and I never went through with the purchase. Oh well, it's there if I ever follow through.

    Colt 1903

Same here, and, since we're in "General" and not "Revolver" I didn't think twice. A looonggg time ago, I helped a friend plant 2000 "Christmas" trees on a plot of land he had purchased. Took a couple days and we used hand, rather than power" tools to do it. He came to my house shortly...

S&W lock plug.. 1st time I seeing this.

No kidding. I have a 642-1 with a lock (that I've nearly worn out with .38spl handloads; fantastic little gun) and the 610 I mentioned earlier. Both sets of "keys" are in their respective boxes; never even took them out of the boxes to try.
