I've yet to get an answer from the police that I later discovered to be accurate. They have nothing to gain by telling you the truth, it only makes their job harder and besides that most of them don't really know.

Had a friend in the same situation, they had a party, cops called, found a small amount of weed. Cops did'nt bother my buddy or his firearms. As long as you know hes not dealing and doesnt have more than an ounce on hand, I'd say you're safe, but take my opinion for what its worth.

Ok, so, I am flying home tomorrow morning, and I'd like to bring the trigger pack from my CETME so I can do some welding on it to make it work properly. Any problems putting just the trigger pack into my checked baggage? Thats all that will be in there, no bullets, no mags, just the trigger pack.

in 64 they implemented some cost cutting changes. It did'nt go over well with everyone. The new ones are Pre-64 like. Someone more knowledgeable than I am should prolly exp[lain the similarities/differences between a Pre-64 and one of the new ones.

its not the ideal forming process for precision barrels. It's the best way to make a awful lot of high quality barrels quickly. High quality but not Match Grade suppossedly. At these prices whats the incentive to buy one of these as opposed to picking up a Pre 64?

Theres no friggin Loophole, In NY you can have a black powder pistol with no "papers" but if you want either powder, primer, patch, or ball you have to get a permit. God I dont miss that place :D

Yes you can buy it in NY. When I was there my local wal-mart had it. I think farmers with nuisance permits can use it for deer in NY.
