I'm not into Chinese made knives but...

My only experience with Spyderco, so far, has been qith their Golden Colorado models. I've hear their Taiwanese factory is where their more "refined" models come from but the Golden does the best with the compression lock. Anyway, yea - the Civivi Praxis is a lot of knife for the money. I also...

What do you expect to do with a sword

Crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women. What else would I expect to do with a sword :-D

    A few new knives

OP - That Spyderco Keychain knife is gorgeous SteadyO - if you're looking for a folder to use, when you know you should be using a fixed blade, check out the Cold Steel AD10. Mine has many minor issues but it is a tank and has amazing ergos.

I'm not into Chinese made knives but...

I have no problem admitting I am a sucker for slick gear. Have around $1,300 in my carry pistol and north of 2G in my "trunk gun" (not including the TWO tax stamps it required - suppressed SBR). I am not much different when it comes to knives - SOG Kiku 4" Fixed, Spyderco Yojumbo, Hogue Ritter...

    Which $1,000 Gun???

You got any stands, yet? 1000 would get you into a pretty decent silencer (stamp, transfer, etc, incl). Sounds line you got plenty pig "Title 1" stuff, step up a category. Or.... Any optics pistols yet? 10mm with a long bbl and an RMR. Be able to tell friends, "rifles? Oh snap, we were...

    9mm or .380

Don't forget - you also get the added benefit of more expensive ammo with the 380 :D OP - on a serious note. You will hear about the different lethality of various calibers but there are really TWO thing that make a pistol truly "deadly": (1) having it on you (2) actually being able to hit...

consolidation? One platform to rule them all...?

"Beware of the man with one gun" is an old saying and I think there is some truth to it. I decided to buy a striker fired pistol, keep it bone stock, and not let myself shoot anything else. I now shoot my M&P 2.0 Compact exclusively (other than mandatory work related shooting) From you...

I came too late to the party, The Sig P250.

I don't know if I have ever been as accurate, with ANY pistol, as I am with my P250. There is something about how smooth and consistent the trigger pull is that just allows me to fine tune my sight picture, as I'm pressing it, without that little "snap" that I get with striker fired guns that...

    Handguns that didn't stick around

I did not know Daewoo is now imported as "Lionhart", that's pretty cool BUT I noticed they do not have a .22lr pistol. So..... Daewoo DP52 the Korean PPK in 22lr. That was a cool little pistol :)

Do you make dangerous mistakes when shooting or handling you pistols?

I'v been usig handguns since I was 8 (I'm 45), been an Armed professional (on and off) as far back as 1996. Very safe with firearms because I've lost people very close to me from gun "mistakes". I'v never had an ND. Yet, last week I had to clean two pistols. Both were on the coffee table...

    Why batoning

I was recently on a camping/hunting trip, here in KS, at the worst possible time (really bad cold spell came through). Starting a fire wasn't a luxury, it was a matter of survival (or at least avoiding several sick days due to catching a killer cold maybe even pneumonia). I had some skinning...

    Shadow Tech knives?

I wish I did. They have my curiosity up, as well. I do have experience with 1095 (and like it) but heat treat is everything. 1095 from one maker might not perform as well as 1095 from another, due to different HT. 1095 HT'd by Rowen is a definite win. Ya just have to be very careful because...

Ruger Mark iv or Ruger vaquero

MILEMAKER13 Yep, every (quality) firearm AND every (quality) knife. It makes me sick to remember things like - a Daewoo DR200, TWO Model 29's, an Ontario SP42, the list goes on but I need to stop before I turn this into a bad day, gotta stay positive.

    awkward ccw places

This is going to sound really bad. I have not used a holster in probably 20 years. Spent hundreds trying different ones, actually built and sold holsters, still hate 'em. I catch all the grief about the hypothetical ND and retention but 20yr of DAILY carry carries more weight (with me) than...

    Airborne Knives

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yea, I had heard he was the real thing. It didn't surprise me because, when I look at some his designs, they are definitely purpose driven. When you see something and say "yes THAT is what I meant" ya know the guy was thinking of a specific task, when he designed...
