I bought my 239 in 357, then got 40cal. and 9mm barrels for it. It is one of my favorites, very reliable and excellent quality. I like to carry mine in a Sparks VM-2. It's a keeper.

I have a 239 in 357, bought a 40 barrel and mags for it too. The 357 is not going to overtake 9mm or 40 anytime soon. It is an expensive round, that's why I got the 40 barrel which stays in the gun most of the time.

I'm about the same size as you, I have a Glock 19 that conceals very well. That being said, I also like the STI LS & BLS, to stay close to your price range you would have to get a used one. They are small and thin like the Kahr, very nice for CCW. Worth considering.

I don't own a wheelgun, just semi auto's, which I trust implicitly. However, the wheelgun would have a slight edge due to the ability to just pull the trigger again if you have a FTF. Does that mean I am going to switch to a wheelgun, no. I guess you have to be comfortable with your choice.
