I picked up a p938 ( new ) back in June i have put right around 1K through it
last night i noticed that the ambi safety on the right side is just a little lose
is this normal if you have a P938 would you look at yours this is my EDC
and don't wish to send back if i don't have to
thanks LD

Mine was too. I sent it back to SIG to be converted to left-side only as a warranty repair. They were reluctant at first, but I talked them into it. I think you can do the conversion yourself if they will sell you the parts. You need the safety and hammer pin for a 238.

IMO, the ambi is a flawed design that has a high potential to come loose.

Just looked at my P-938 Extreme -- yeah, the right-side safety lever does have some play in it, but it still engages, stays on, and comes off with a distinct click. I'm not gonna worry about it as it seems pretty secure even on the slightly loose right sie.

My P938 also has a loose safety on the left. This has been discussed
On SIG forum. Most decided it is nothing to worry about.

Just checked my Extreme (bought late May, ~400 rds) - no wiggle in safety on either side.
