Browning BAR Mark II Safari 300 WSM with BOSS

I have a buddy trying to sell me a Browning BAR .300 WSM Mark II with the BOSS system on it. I think I can get it for $500. It looks to be in beautiful shape but I haven't got to see it in person yet. I'm just not sure at all about the left handed thumbhole stock. I'm not left handed so it's basically useless to me but I've never seen anything like it. Can anyone tell me if it would be easy to sell or trade for a standard buttstock? And this seems to be a great price but I thought I'd check with someone that knows more than I do. Thanks!

A new Browning stock will cost you about $200 + shipping & install.

Any chance he still has the factory stock??

Lol @ RC - first thing I thought is how awkward that stock would be for a right handed guy.

OP, I think you'll need an aftermarket stock; maybe the seller can reduce the price a bit. $500 is a great price...but you need a different stock.

Nice rifle. I would buy it and place a stock on order.

That current stock is useless, what a waste of money. Too bad the original stock got separated from the rifle.

It is still worth the money.

I'm a lefty, and the chance to buy a BAR with a lefty stock and have it cheaper as a result is a win-win. If you can't justify the expense of restocking, give me your buddies number in a PM and I'm on it!
