Glock 36 opinions?

I haven't fired mine much, only about 300 rounds so far. Mine doesn't like the Winchester White Box ammo, had multiple FTF/FTE with it. I switched to using some Federal, PMC, Golden Sabers, etc. (more expensive stuff) and I haven't had a failure since.

I found that the short grip caused a little more muzzle flip than I wanted so I put a finger extension on one of the magazines and had much better control.

Accuracy was OK for me with about 8 out of 10 (on average) going into the 8, 9, 10 ring at 25 yards. From 7 yards I could keep it in the 9 and 10 even with double taps.

It's definitely "Glockish" in that it's easy to field strip, easy to clean, grip isn't as comfortable (to me) as some other models but still comfortable enough. I find it very easy to conceal and carry all day long even IWB which I typically have trouble with (expanding middle).

I prefer to G17/G19/G26 line from Glock but the G36 is a nice little shooter.

I like my G-36 a lot. It's as thin as a 1911 with thin grips, and it works. However, there are a number of folks out there who don't see any reason to get a G-36 as long as G-30s are available. I would tell you that I haven't found a thing wrong with the Glock 36, and I rely on mine.

I had one, loved it, but it had just way too much recoil for me, so I sold it and bought a 1911.

Glock disassembly is awe-inspiring in its ease. It was damn accurate and a joy to carry concealed. But like I said, just way too light for 230 JHPs.

I just got my G36 and so far I am very happy with it. I personaly feel that the G30 is much to fat. I think that the size of the G36 is perfect for its intended mission. Mine so far has been perfect with WWB ammo. I do not think you can go wrong with the G36.

Stock baseplates on the mags will probably pinch you, but the Plus 0 baseplates eliminate most of that.

I've only got about 300 rounds through mine, but it loves Win. White box, and Wolf.
I haven't carried it yet, but it is light, and recoils less than my Colt Defender did. (To me)

I also thought the G30 was too fat, but the G36 seems to fit me just right.

The G36 is what I carry when I'm not hoofing a J-frame .357.
After a slight foopah with an extended slide stop release, the installation of which caused much consternation, gnashing of teeth and jams, before I learned that the part was inconsistant with the G36 design and switched it back to stock, I have had nothing but success with the weapon!!

I took it to the range last Saturday and put another 100 flawless rounds through it.

Mine has Trijicon night sights, minus connector, reduced power trigger spring, and is currently loaded with 185gr Silver Tip.
I have found, however, the it has feed problems with Cor-Bon ammo.
But, I understand that it is a common malady with the gun.
I would not recommend firing to many +P rounds through it, 'cause yer hand is gunna hurt afterward!!

As touching holsters, I have carried it on the ankle, pocket, belt and IWB. The Bianchi Black Widow, covered with a loose t-shirt is my prefered method of carry.

My 36 had such a crappy trigger pull, I'd get a charleyhorse in my hand just emptying one magazine.

Made a TREMENDOUS difference.

I have over two thousand rounds through mine. Some early bobbles but very reliable now. I don't carry (I live in SoCal) but if I did it would certainly be on my short list. Lots of firepower in a light, slim pistol I trust. It's not a gun for extended range sessions, however, but what light pistol is? Powerful, reliable, easy to maintain, durable. You should try one to see what you think of the recoil; I don't think it's that bad, although stiffer, for sure, than, say, the G26. Recommended.
