I picked up a Sig P938 Equinox about a year ago in a trade and just recently decided to try it out. What-ya-know, I like it. Put a couple hundred rounds of
Win. Military FMJ thru it and another 50 of different self defense ammo. Not one
hiccup. Just ordered a Alabama Holster Co IWB and Pocket holster for it. Decided
to keep it.
Just wondering if anyone else liked the P938 as well?

[emoji106][emoji106]I have the SAS model--carried every day in an Alabama Holster front pocket holster! I can't say enough good things about that little pistol!

I've carried P938 in a IWB hybrid holster almost every weekend for a year. Easy to carry even in a t-shirt. With the extended mag I get nice grip with my pinky. In my hand the tiny thing shoots like a much bigger gun.

Good to hear. When I traded for it, it was a 2 for one deal and I'd planned on
keeping the rifle and trading the pistol. Traded the rifle (an AR) almost
immediately but kept the pistol in the safe. Glad it turned out that way. It's
not a target pistol but at 10 yards I can put 21 rounds into the center of a paper plate
at 10 yards rapid fire. Mine prefers Hornady 115 gr FTX even though I'd rather
use 147 gr XTP.
I've got a lot of holsters. 41 years LEO will do that.:) But in the last few years
I've became fond of Alabama Holster products, almost to the exclusion of any
other holster. I have 2 or 3 for each of the weapons I put in my Carry rotation.
I've found them to be very well made and rugged.

I agree. I does shoot larger than what it is.

I shoot 124gr Gold Dots or plated handloads. I want to try the 147gr though.

Love mine. Carried it today!

Good to hear. I changed my grips to a set of G10's. Not sure if I like them or not. They do
provide a sure grip but they are a little sharp and do bite a bit during prolonged shooting.
I may look at some Hogue G10 grips for it.

Mine shoots the 124gr Gold Dots fine just not quite as well as the Hornady 115 FTX's. I've
shot some Critical Defense 135 gr +P's thru it and it shoots them great too. Just not sure
of the wear on the Sig P938.

I carry either a P238 or P938 most of the time. I use a Remora convertilble holster. Never had a problem with ammo. I use Horandy or Federal.

I pocket carry my P938 Extreme, cocked and locked, every day in a Desantis Super Fly.

Never tried a Remora or seen one to handle but I'm carrying my P938 in a Desantis
Nemesis now. It's ok but I have had it come out of my pocket with the weapon before.
Never had that with the Alabama pocket holster. For a .380, I have a Kahr P380 that I
really like. It's my backup for every thing else that I carry no matter what. Drop it in a
pocket, even a shirt pocket if the shirt is of a thick material, and it just disappears.

I shot my sister's and really liked it. It's a lot nicer than my 290 - and a lot more expensive.

I have a 290RS Extreme and I agree on both counts. Loaded 6+1, the 290RS is 26.5 oz
while the 938 loaded 7+1 is only 20.6 oz. (at least that's the weights of mine on our kitchen
scales). It is more expensive, but if I had to choose only one, I'd pay the extra cost and pick
the P938. As a matter of fact, I'd love to pick me up a P938 Scorion TB to match my P220
Combat TB. ;)

Really like my P938 Sport.

Soft shooting and accurate if I do my part.
It really is. I have several "Sub-Compact 9mm's" and it shoots softer than the ones that are
a lot heavier 'with the 7 round mags'. With the 6 rounders, I can only get 2 fingers on the
grip of the 938. I have several of the 7 round mags just for that reason. The six rounders
are in the box.

Really considering the 938 myself, it would be my first carry gun and I had a chance to rent one and liked it.

Is it really doable as a pocket carry? Not a deal breaker for me but just wondering how it compares to say a .38 snubbie in ease of carry.

Bought one Sunday, go to pick it up tomorrow. Gonna pick up some new grips, probably an N82 holster. Have a metal trigger I bought for a Mustang that I didn't use, so that might go in over the weekend.

Really depends on your pockets and the holster. My 642 in a Nemisis carries easier than my P938 in the one holster I have for it so far. Looking for a holster with a better fit. Using the 6 round mag reduces the overall size a bit which also makes a difference.

Ditto on the Mags Dano......and I think the 938 shoots softer than most 380s out there, never mind the small nines! IMHO of course......

I have no problem pocket carrying mine, even using the 7 shot mag. It's flat so the bulge
of the cylinder isn't a problem. Hammer is rounded and don't snag. To pocket carry, you
have to but your clothes based on doing that ig: pants loose with big pockets. Over the
years, I've gotten used to buying clothes based on pocket and IWB carry.

True, the holster you use is very important and in a lot of cases, what holster
will depend on what pants you wear. Nemisis is IMO, the best of the soft pocket
holsters while Alabama is the best kydex pocket holster.
I didn't mean to imply that a revolver isn't good for pocket carry. I have a 340PD
and a 642 and pocket carry them all the time around the farm. In the summer
I carry few snake shot rounds in them for copperheads and rattlesnakes. After
nearly stepping on a rattlesnake years ago stepping down off my tractor, I'm
a little leery of them. He hit the bottom of my boot. I still had a hold of the
steering wheel or I'd have landed right in the middle of him.
Anyway, no matter what or where you carry, a good holster and a good belt
are very important to have.
