Bergara 605 Creedmoor. I just bought this at our local gun show for $1,600. New in box. I want to shoot target up to1500yds and possibly deer and elk.Good deal? Good choice? You would have bought something else? Thanks all!

Wow!!

Cannon Man--Now, we will need pix. AND, a range report when you get that far. I really like what I have read about the 6.5 CM as an accurate long-range cartridge.

OTOH, I know nothing about Bergaras. Just purchased a Ruger Precision Rifle, myself, in 6.5 CM--Have yet to take possession.

What are you going to use for a 'scope on your new rifle?

I have a savage lrp 6.5 Creedmoor that is unbelievably accurate. Just shot it again this past Saturday and was consistently hitting a 6x10 steel target at 650yds with my hand loads. My load data is as follows : reformed Norma .308 brass and neck turned, 123gr amax, 42gr A4350, WLR primers... oal is set at the bullet bumping the rifling... yes, this caliber will easily handle deer... with my load my ballistic calculator says I'm good to about 650yds for ethical kills on whitetails. ..

A put the Vortex's Viper on it and thanks for the heads up load data. I was a .308 guy, jumped to a 7mm ultra mag, got fussy and got a .50 BMG. When I settled down - saved up some more $$$ - I this 6.5. Just put the scope on and I can't stop looking at it. Wife says I absolutely cannot take it to bed with me.

Which Premier rifle did you buy? I've shot a number of Bergara rifles including one chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. They make a good product and have some of the best factory barrels in the industry. How about a photo or two?

I too put a vortex viper on my lrp... I mounted the 4-16x44 vortex viper hst, and love it!

I haven't got a 6.5 but I would not want to take a Long Range rifle hunting. Even my fast twist .223 is heavier than I would carry in the woods.

It's my new best friend! I don.t know if it goes here but... I like an adaptor for this break. Not a can, just an adaptor. Ideas. And, Yeah, I doubt this would be my first choice as a hunter. I do love a nice piece of wood. Thanks for the interest guys!

OK. So I'm trying to send you guys a few pics of my 6.5 Creedmoor. My Wife still won't let me take it bed but i do believe it's my new best friend. As soon as I understand what a missing security token is I'd love to show it to you.

:banghead: This is how I feel if I still cannot upload a pic. Sorry for lack of skill here.

Ive not seen the mount system on this break. And I don't know if this thread goes here, if not, please move me to the appropriate location. What is this type of mount? Are there adaptors available? I don't want a can but I would like to try some other stuff on the end of this. It looks like it's a simple thread on. Any thoughts folks?

That brake uses the standard 5/8-24 thread and is the KEYMOUNT QD brake from Dead Air Armament designed to interface with the SANDMAN-L and SANDMAN-S suppressors.

Dead Air is owned by BPI who owns CVA, Bergara, Quake Slings etc. It's a good brake that won't hurt accuracy, but in that heavy rifle you're not going to have much felt recoil anyway. If you're not going to use a can from DAA you could remove the brake and install a thread protector or something else. Feel free to send it to me since I have two SANDMAN suppressors on the way. :D

Here my 6.5-06 and savage 6.5 Creedmoor... my '06 looks just like your Creedmoor
