Ruger for Smith

Keep in mind M65s aren't made anymore. Super Blackhawks are.

If the M65 is in good shape, I would go with that one. It's value will appreciate better than the RSB if you ever decide to sell it.

Yeah it'd be an even trade. No cash going either way.

Well, I wouldn't have taken the time to ask anyone else for fear the Smith owner would change his mind or have someone else snatch it up from under my nose. SBHs are a dime a dozen, nice 65s are not. As has been said, they are meant for two completely different purposes, so for you to consider the trade in the first place, means you do not have a purpose for the SBH.

I agree with those recommending getting the S&W.

1)it's a more practical toter.
2)it's DA.
3)357 is cheaper and more common than 44mag.
4).38 special is cheaper yet.
5)It's the one that says Smith & Wesson on it (and I say that as a big Ruger fan;))

Very personal

Having only a cylinder in common they aren't directly equitable trades to me.

Kind of would I trade a dirt bike for a cruiser in motorcycles.

4 inch not a ladysmith
Well... I dunno Barry. Now if you don't need the Ruger, and have other .44s, well it's on ok deal. Personally, I'm a lousy shot with SA revolvers so I'd trade, especially since I'm a fool for K frames (a real fool for K frame snubs.)

Just depends. Value is about the same. But do note, you see zillions of Ruger SAs in pawn shops, but how many S&W Ks do you see?

I have a 4 inch 13.. blued version of the 65 and I like it but I would likely trade for a short barrelled SBH even up :)

And if you guys haven't noticed Rugers do not seem to be "cheap" like they once were... The days of 225.oo used super blackhawks being all over the place have gone the same place as 150.00 used fixed sight k frames :(

4" square but 65? No I'd take the short barreled SBH.
I am a huge SW fan and have 3" RB 65 and if the gun in question so that would be my choice.
Hold out for the 19 or 66 that you want.

If the Smith looks like this...I would.

But I don't care for the small round-butts (well...S&W revolvers anyway) and short barrels. I like revolvers for target shooting. And I think another Ruger would be easier to find later on.
