Has anyone used the OAL of 1.060 for 125 gr. 9 mm? I am using HS-6 and am wondering about such a short OAL.

I have been searching for more info on that powder and OAL combo but not really finding anything.
I am not seeing lead data in my manuals that short.

I doubt you will find any manual data that short they did not test a similar fat bullet. I do not know the Egglston What gun are you shooting. I have to load MBC small ball LRN bullets very short in my CZ also. Just go with the start load given. You can use FMJ data for lead bullets again be sure to use the start load, you may gain some velocity.

I do not use HS 6 but do use Power Pistol and Longshot, Unique, HP 38 etc.

MBC says this:

I will be shooting these rounds through a G19, G26 and G43.

I printed the data from Eggleston Munitions, I just was hoping for feedback on if anyone has loaded HS-6 to that short of a OAL and what the results were.

Gotcha, I can load some up in the morning and shoot them through a chrono if you would like using a cz75. I am down to only 18 so i could do a couple 5 shot strings.

Thanks, you don't have to do that. I loaded a bunch according to the load data on their site then I started thinking about the short OAL vs. pressure. I believe I loaded XTP's that short with either W231 or WST but I will have to find my notes.

Here are some results i did this morning. Nice 60 degrees with light wind. cz75, 4.6" barrel.

hs-6, 6.1 grains. starline, cci sp mag primers, oal 1.048
1191, 1196, 1224, 1205, 1172. avg 1197, es 52, sd 19

hs-6, 6.5 grains. starline, cci sp mag, oal 1.048
1244, 1278, 1241, 1222, 1253. avg 1247, es 56, sd 20

Shot good with clean cases. Didn't try too much for accuracy but for what i shot would be a nice mid to higher power load. If i was loading more i would make sure that this is not a compressed load. Looks very close. I have other powders i use for 9 but if i had more of this powder it makes a good load.

Thanks for the info. I have some 125 gr. Loads from 6.0 to 6.5 ready to go, just waiting on a dry day. I will post that info when I can.

Here are the results from my test loads.
This is using HS-6 and Eggleston 125 gr. Bullets at 15 yrds.

6.0 gr
G19......1120
G43......1081
G26.......1093

6.2 gr
G19..…..1164
G43.......1120
G26.......1103

6.4 gr
G19.......1179
G43.......1143
G26.......1141

6.5 gr
G19.......1206
G43.......1162
G26.......1137

The best groupings are as follows
G19. 6.0, 6.5
G43. 6.2, 6.4
G26. 6.2, 6.4, 6.5

Next I will test 6.3 and a few under 6.0. My wife doesn't like the hard snap from the recoil so I need to find a soft recoil accurate load for her. She shoots the 43.
