I'm thinking about getting a stock and handguards for my WASR Ak. Does anyone know anything about Mako Group stuff? I've heard the quality is pretty good, but how easily can they be installed on a Romy?

I have an adjustable AR style stock for an AK and previously had a full set of "tactical" furniture for a VZ2008. Quality is good in my opinion, equal or better than the price, and installation is easy and straightforward. I installed the stock on a WASR and did not need to do any fitting. Fit was snug and it attaches with two screws like the factory wood IIRC.

Honestly, they're way too expensive for what they are. Does your WASR have the left-side optics rail? If so, that'll be a more lightweight, rigid and inexpensive solution than any handguard mount. There's also much cheaper AK to M4 buttstock adapters, although Magpul offers equivalent stuff that's still cheaper than Mako's offerings.
