QX4 - finally a combat handgun in Tokarev caliber.

Interesting design especially with the interchangeable calibers and the spiral grooves in the barrel.

Mildly curious design but generally uninterested...

Given that it's manufactured by Communists, and in particular, those Communists, you literally could not give me one without it being a righteous bring-back from a U.S. GI.

Ive got 15-16 guns. Every one of them made in the US. Not that I was trying for it. Its just that seems to be what I like. I could truly give a damn about Communism but every nickle of mine that doesnt go to outside the US is a good nickle.

Wow, a screw-delay Tokarev. Bet that thing is oh so much fun to shoot.

Is that barrel what they make with endmills too terrible even for export? :D

There's already a much better alternative; the DA762 is a 7.62 SIG clone

Real shame that no not-China-or-Russia country uses the round much any more, or we'd have importable alternatives to the Tokarev and CZ52 (and to a lesser extent C96)

I won't pretend I don't want one, but I do have to question making the gun look like it's covered in pleather.

Thanks for the correction. Now i actually remember that SIG clone :)

.... and for those who rant about "Communists" .... China is not communist anymore.

But hey, news about reality slowly trickle into the US :)

In a market craving striker pistols, a hammer fired pistol is an interesting choice. The Beretta inspiration is also unusual.

Could a Sig 226/229 not be converted then to fire the round? IIRC most of the Tokarevs could be converted to 9mm.

Can someone post a picture of the gun OP posted? I can't view that site on this network.

Geeze, it does look like pleather! Who knew commies would know from pleather?

I see that the one from the picture is the .45 so don't let the un-necked cases throw you though they look like they may be from still another of the alternative calibers rather than .45.

So that's a delayed blowback weapon, that seems to rotate the barrel almost a full revolution to slow the slide down?

Interesting.....

Its an interesting design. Despite JMB's basic mechanism that has become standard I like to see some other variation in gun designs, lest things get boring.

IF they could be imported I'd certainly get one. I'm all for "Made in the USA" but realistically my TV and half my other electronics are made in China - it's not gonna hurt to buy a gun made there.

Same here, kind of a neat gun.

Thought it looked familiar; frame is probably made by the same Chrysler supplier plant ;)

Wait, screw delayed blowback? Why not just copy the Beretta all the way?

Screw delayed blowback is a fairly unsuccessful operating mechanism. It's definitely an eyebrow raiser.
