American Citizen born of Afghani parents.
He was a working security guard with weapons training.
There is no indication he utilized the handgun he was carrying.
Obama will speak on the horror of AR15 rifles shortly.
 
I agree with buck460XVR. Now is the time to show respect for the victims and their families. There will be plenty of time for discussing the political implications later. Let's not let the other side drag us into unseemly behavior during a time for mourning. The victims deserve better.

You're offering two more strawmen in this context. Horrific massacres have taken place in the US when our immigration system was in good shape and Islamic terrorism wasn't an issue.

The real issue is extremely complex and varying -- a general coarsening of our society. No quick fixes -- no mere walls or religious persecution is going to fix it.

On TV right now: It's now being reported the the Muslim attacker called 911 during the attack and pledged his allegiance to ISIS.
But hey, let's ban guns and keep the borders wide open!

I live in Arizona carry wherever I go including night clubs. Im also sane. Lets watch who we call crazy especially now that the antis want every gun owner irresponsible and dangerous.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I can understand a place where getting intoxicated is the goal as not allowing the patrons to be armed. They should have armed security, but I can understand a bar being gun-free.

With that said, the best thing for the LGBT community, as it relates to safety, is for them to have access to the same gun rights that the straight community has. They probably need them even more so, because of prejudices against them. Regardless of your personal convictions regarding LGBT, as human beings they deserve the same constitutional rights that everyone else does.

Maybe all gays should be issued AR15s by the government and be allowed to form militias?

I mean, heck, this is what we do in other countries so they may protect themselves and we even give them rifles with functional happy switches.

We give away a lot more than rifles, too...

But no we'd rather not re-import our own damn firearms from other countries, or at the very least, certainly not allow them to fall into civilian hands.

Just think of all the scrapped guns the gov could have funneled to The People over the years if they were so inclined.
 
Was that night club a no carry zone for those that were not drinking such as the designated drivers?

The off duty LEO that engaged, did he/she survive?

My heartfelt sympathy to those that are victim to one filled with hatred.
 
Friends let us not speculate. We have to focus on thoughts and prayers at this time. It is too early. I am praying to God now to help these people. :(
 
People naturally are outraged & feel helpless in such a situation & want to blame anything. We can't expect everyone to be in clear-thinking mode. Others want to feel like they have a "solution" so, of course, "Get rid of the guns" is their panacea.

The gay and far left wing liberal media outlets and ACLU have gone so far as to include GOP as well as "machineguns" for causing this mass shooting.

All you have to do is look around to see that when the guns are gone, we will be getting blown up.
 
I watched CBS for 45 min. this morning, all I could stand. They mentioned over and over that the FBI had interviewd him in the past but he was still able to buy guns. Yes even the "loophole" word was used. Very little mention of the shooter.
