As several here know, I supplement my forced retirement income by crafting what I love-- holsters for classic and modern black powder handguns. I'm not able to just buy examples of our beloved percussion handguns from which I can pattern holsters to offer. Are there dimensionally accurate replicas I could maybe look for to use for patterning? Maybe some of the metal reproductions meant for display? With modern guns there are "blue guns" for just that purpose. But I've not found them for percussion and other period handguns.
I currently have these from which I craft patterns:
Ruger Old Army 7 1/2 inch with adjustable sights.
Ruger Old Army 7 1/2 inch fixed sights.
NAA Mini 1 5/8 inch "Companion" black powder revolver.
CVA Optima 2 single shot.

As always I sure appreciate folks help here. Don.

This is Duncan Customs out of Michigan,,,
They make and sell aluminum blanks for holster makers.

IIRC they sell for $45.00 each,,,
I don't have their current inventory list,,,
But I think they had a dummy of a Ruger Old Army.

Anyways, it's worth an e-mail.

Thank you. I checked them out. Beautiful products, but sadly I didn't see any percussion revolvers. I shall keep the site on hand though. Don.

The NAA companion is the exact same size as the 22LR version. Not much, but at least it takes care of one of your list

Call them and ask , sometimes things are not in the catalog for lack of demand, can't hurt to ask , who knows, they might have some stashed in a drawer .
