Got A new CZ 75 B 9mm Last week. I have put near 500 rounds through it now. I like the gun.It is accurate and handles well.
The trigger is lousy to be kind. Has anyone used the Cajun Gun Works Race hammer and adjustable sear? That along with some polishing on the double action parts looks like the way to go. Anyone tried this?

Try a 15# hammer spring first, but yes those parts will give you a fantastic trigger.

My 75 B and 85 Combat both had pretty decent triggers from the factory, but they were a bit stiff with the usual camming that the CZ is designed with. Then I installed this GCW kit https://cajungunworks.com/product/54420-ultra-lite/ in both of those guns using the lightest (black) hammer spring. The trigger pull and force required to rack the slide were greatly improved with the 85 Combat being remarkably smooth and light both double action and single action, the 75 B slightly less so but still very much improved to the point I really have no complaints with either gun. They are both even more excellent now.

I have the same kit in my 75 D PCR except I went with the blue hammer spring because this is also a carry gun. It is much improved, just fine actually, but heavier than the other two.

I also have the CGW lighter hammer spring in my 97 B. Love that one too.

I've fired a number of different ammo brands through these guns without any misfires or malfunctions whatsoever following the changes. I compared the primer indentions and none appear borderline light, even with the lightest hammer springs.

As happy as I am with the light kit above, I'm still considering whether or not adding one of their hammers would be worth it on any of these guns, but will probably try it on one of them just to see -- probably the 85 Combat but frankly I can't see how that one could be very much better than it is now.

If I were you and interested in minimizing cost in effort to improve your gun, I'd try the kit above first. If I were willing to go further, I'd go with a hammer kit too.

This was surprising to hear...because the trigger on all the CZ's I've tried have been excellent right out of the box. If I were you, I would take it to a gunsmith and have them smooth it out. Maybe there's just a small machining burr or something similar. Whichever solution you opt for, please let us know how it works out.

What exactly about the trigger do not like? I have a CZ pcr that I installed the all the Cajun parts into, but did it in steps. you might be able to get away with a cheep easy job depending on what you want.

I would add to Bearnut and 71velle's comments that none of my CZs had an objectionable trigger out of the box. They were good but I preferred them lighter in both DA and SA, and wanted the slide rack to be a bit easier for my wife. Trigger wise, I think I'm spoiled by some Smith revolvers that are nothing short of amazing, so I'm always striving for that level if possible.

I have, and it made the gun soooo much more fun to shoot and accurate. The guys down there can do it or if inclined you can yourself. If you do it yourself ask the guys for any suggestions they had some good ones.DA pull is 6 and SA is closer to 3. Trigger is nice and crisp at both the DA and SA now.

Thanks for the replies. The double action pull is terrible Got to be 15 lbs. The pull weight on single is not that bad but has literally 1/4" of creep. I also am used to tuned 1911 and Smith and Wesson triggers. I can not live with this. Think I will talk to CGW before I order anything to see what they recommend. Like the gun. Hate the trigger.

You'll be very happy with the CGW trigger kits. I have them in all my CZs. Once you shoot a CZ with their kits installed it will spoil you for the stock triggers.

Since my skill set prevents me from installing CGW parts, the cost of a full accuracy/trigger work will cost close to the initial price of the firearm. I'm trusting it would be worthwhile. Your input, please.

No worries! It is WELL worth it! At double the price it is still less than a decent 1911 and it will feel every bit as good or better. It will spoil you for anything else.

Hamfisted, very nice set of CZs there! The 97 B is a hugely underappreciated CZ, don't you think?

I see you have the hammers. What else do you have? Ultra-Lite spring kits, or something else? If you also have the springs, did you do each gun in stages, or Hammer kit and springs all at once?

I'm curious as to how things would change by adding a hammer kit to the Ultra-Lite spring kit, which on my 85 Combat is already very light in action. Does the hammer kit eliminate or almost eliminate the camming of the hammer?

For anyone else considering this, I can categorically say I would install the Ultra-Lite kit on every CZ I get. Not that mine have been bad out of the box, but just that the kits really lightens them up and makes them more to my liking, and at about $50 delivered they are well worth it.

I just purchased a cz sp-01 tactical, the factory trigger had a lot of creep in sa but had an ok break. Da was very heavy and gritty. I installed the 13 lb hammer spring kit from cajun gun works, and a competition hammer and extended firing pin from cz custom. I polished the action when I had the gun apart, and now it's a totally different gun. Very light single action (2 1/2 to 3 lbs) with a crisp break and -0- camming/creep. Double action smoothed considerably and lightened around 5 lbs if guessing. If doing yourself I recommend replacing the trigger pin with a cajun gun works floating trigger pin. Total cost to me was around $150 for parts and my time watching you tube tutorials. Was a lot more difficult to work on than my M&P's but still doable with patients.

I have a CZ75 in .40. The trigger was a little rough when new but it's smoothed out nicely as I shot it.

OK! I talked to A nice fellow at CGW today. Got hammer kit and everything he suggested.
Not even sure what I bought. He assures me A nice trigger. $184. that I had not planned on but WTH. I really want this gun to work for me. Will post results when its done.

CGW parts are installed. Did some polishing on related areas.Single action pull is under 4lbs and zero creep. double action is A little heavier than I would like but very smooth throughout the pull. Overall I am very happy.
