Does Timney, or Jewell, or somebody, make a really nice target trigger that fits the Ruger Precision Rifle?

I'm spoiled--The "target trigger" that comes stock on the RPR seems draggy to me.

Or mebbe there is an adjustment for that?

Jard makes one and Timney just recently released one with a curved and straight trigger option.

Wahsmen--Thx for the heads-up! I like the Timney triggers I have installed in the past. Found out from Timney that they were making one for the RPR and promptly sent off an order. Haven't received the new trigger as yet; will have a performance report after receipt and installation. Ruger tried with their trigger, to make a "Savage Accutrigger" that gets around Savage's patents somehow. IMHO, Ruger didn't quite pull it off. However, I REALLY LIKE everything else about my RPR!

You're welcome Smokey Joe. I originally ordered mine from Timney but waited & waited. I checked Brownells and they had both models, the curved & flat trigger available a few days ago so I ordered from them and cancelled my order with Timney.

Got mine from Timney; installed it, and it is every bit the trigger I was hoping for!! (Frankly what I expected on the Ruger Precision Rifle to begin with!) It's a 2-stage trigger; they asked me what weights I'd like for the stages. Settled on 8 oz. for stage 1, and 1 1/2# for stage 2. When your finger hits stage 2 you know it, and the trigger just does not move from there--You keep adding pressure and suddenly the gun has fired--trigger never seems to move in stage 2 at all. It's a worthy trigger for the RPR! Now, to get some serious practice time in....
