Hi, I am an old timer by anyone's standards. Early 80's, but this doesn't stop me from doing all the things I want. Retired United States Air Force, Life Member of the NRA, and darned proud of it. Have been shooting since my early teens, when I bought a 22 from a good friend, and had to hide it in the basement floor joists, from my step-dad, who thought all guns were bad.. In the end, he relented and I carried it every day, while running a trap line.
My interest in guns, reloading, etc has never wained over the years. Have had my concealed carry license for many years, and carry on a daily basis, when I'm not laid up with some kind of broken bone. Am recovering from a "reverse complete right shoulder replacement". Physical therapy after such a drastic surgery is a must. I am slowly re-gaining what I lost, but in meantime had to re-think my daily carry. Put the question out on another forum on what a normal right hander is to do? Suggestions were many, but the one that gained my most attention was to equip my S & W 642 with a Crimson Trace Laser. Convincing my better half took some time, but Santa is arriving early this year. Learning to use my left hand has been a real challenge. Eating, combing my hair, and of course shooting, all left handed is "work in progress"
Happy to be a new member of The High Road. Was a member way back when, but with the renewed left hand efforts, new sparks are flying again.
