I just got my form 4 back for my Gemtech GM-45. My question is I have a CCW permit and I was going to use my satchel (or man purse) to bring the pistol with the silencer on it to and from my condo to not have it seen by the neighbors.

I've looked online and can't find anything that says it's illegal. Thanks for any help.

OP, have you discovered any FL rules/laws that states where it IS legal to attach your lawfully-owned suppressor to your lawfully-owned handgun?

Megatron (or Galvatron depending on your timing) - I tried to figure this out last year, especially since we are allowed to hunt with them now. I like to get things "set up" first so all I have to do is grab my rifle and walk to my spot when I get to camp. I could not find any specific reference in either statute or case law. Even asked my NFA lawyer and he said roll with it re: hunting. I didn't ask about a pistol, but if they are legal in FL and you have the stamp...

Stripping away the excess verbage, you're asking if you can carry a silenced gun concealed?

Only thing I can find in the 790s that you CAN'T carry is a machine gun.

Hey guys it appears there's nothing that says it's illegal. I even asked the llawyer who did my trust and he said statute 790 only specifically state a machine gun can't be carried.

Florida considers a silencer a firearm thus it would appear I am within the law, which was my goal as a law abiding gun owner.
