Nice collection but the third one down from the top has all sorts of scratches in the metal. I would be happy to offer you a few dollars for it and hope I can polish them out. Sound like a deal?

Why, yes, yes indeed, most of the members that frequent this sub-forum are in fact huge fans of the K-frame ... You are certainly welcome to post photos of more of your collection if you've got as nice selections of 10s, 13s, 15s, and 19s as well ...

Nice family photo! Please feel free to post more group shots like this!

I'm jealous! I had one a long, long time ago but let it go. Wish I hadn't.

I carried a 4" as a duty gun in the 70s and early 80s. I still have a 2 1/2" I carry on a regular basis.

Very nice. The 3 inch barrel is my all time favorite. You should try to shoot one and deceide if you need one for your collection

Nice collection! I wish I still had all of mine! (sound familiar?).

Back in the 70's I bought two model 66. 4" through my department. I carried one as a duty weapon and stuck the other in the safe. I actually forgot about it until we downsized after the kids were gone. While I was emptying the safe preparing to move it I re-discovered the "second" model 66 still NIB in the back of the safe. Now I can't decide whether to shoot it, let it sit, or sell it. Don't need the money right now, so the decision will be between the first two.

They aren't that rare, even unfired. I'd shoot it. Life's too short to hide it away and not enjoy it.

Here is mine after I had it recoated and tuned a bit. This is my favorite handgun I own, and it is a cop trade in (San Diego Sheriff, maybe? I dunno. It just says "SD SHERIFF")

...but then Goldilocks picked up baby bear's engraved Model 66 and said, "This one is juuust right! I'll leave my snubbie as a trade!"

Obviously flame cutting. Affects the entire frame. Pity.

I helped my sister get one for her husband. It was HARD to send it on to her. He shoots it (maybe) once a year...if it needs it or not! So, when he is ready I take my "19" out and shoot with him. I mean...some times he needs encouragement!

Mark, what barrel length? I'd love the 66 in any configuration. I don't know many people with 6-inchers, though they're great guns to have and to own. I have a 6-inch 686, but it's a bit heavy for my taste.
